#ropeinresin
Thanks Nick! This video really struck a cord with me. I know some people might have thought you were just stringing us along but I think it's just that you know how to spin a good yarn. As for the rope jokes, weave all been there. I hope this is knot the last we see of the rope!
😂😂
😂😂😂❤
Are these rope jokes funny. I'm a frayed knot 😅
@AyJayAreDii no reason to twine about it
...yeah, I got nothin'...so 'ya know what they say...no noose is good noose...
Although I felt that you were stringing me along, and as I wasn't tied up and was at a loose end, I thought I might hang around as my stomach was in knots from watching you rope us all into the artistic talent you use to bind us all together in awe.🙂😆
😂
Well, that made me ropable
clap, clap, clap, clap, clap
Lol.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Glad you decided to stick around Nick. CZcams just would not have been the same without you. Beautiful work as always.
I’m glad you decided to hang around, too..
You really roped us in with this idea. I was a bit tied up with life issues beforehand but this concept really tugged at the very fibers of my being.
It would be cool if you sewed a rope bowl and put it in resin.
One of my favorite things was a fluted snack bowl that was gold fabric in clear resin. Fancy, lol.
Any rope jokes? Nope, I'm a frayed knot...... Sorry. You're a great artist/craftsman Nick. I hope to be able to keep watching your creations and the journey to get there. Great looking bowl! Maybe one day I'll grow my blacksmithing/blade making channel enough to be a part of Maker's Central one day.
That what I keep thinking I want my channel to be big enough for me to be a maker at the show. I've subscribed to your channel 😊
Your ‘not a ropey bowl’ ropey bowl looks stunning (as usual) Nicky.
Glad you didn’t leave us ‘hanging’ for too long and you managed to tie-up all the loose ends, not stringing us along.
Keep waffling Nicky and see you at the next project ❤️
Nick, first of all I love supporting another Nick. Honestly though, I love watching creative videos like these, but your personality and "Waffling" truly sets you apart. Watching you create is refreshing and a different experience in a great way. Totally dig the rope bowel, but one thought is instead of trimming the loose bits of rope from the rim, coat them in resin as almost "handles" could really set it over the top.
Thank you so much 😊❤
Did I tell you the joke about a jump rope? Never mind. Skip it🤣🤣🤣
I like the funky projects you do. They remind me of you. Bright and colourful and loud. Very nice😊👍
I would have loved to come to maker's central, but alas I'm not well and can't travel. But it's nice to hear you had a good time and felt inspired😊
Hi Nick, this piece looks amazing as usual! Glad to hear you are in a better place then where you were a while ago. Take care, and for me personal I would like to say, don't keep this channel up for us, do it for yourself! That might sound silly but you dont owe us anything and you are giving us loads of inspiration and ideas just by beeing yourself! We want you to be happy, nothing is more important in live!
You do what is best for you. Take care of yourself. You are cared about by many, but those that need you, love you, and are in close proximity to you are the most important!
Thank you for your kind words ❤
Nick, thank you so much for continuing your journey and letting us come along with you ❤️ you make so many moments entertaining for all of us. I personally hope this channel never ends!
It never ceases to amaze me how the uniform IOR of resin makes it ideal for filling in scratches in itself, such as after sanding. Like, I understand how it works on a microscopic level, but every time I see it happen it still feels like magic.
Im so glad u kept at it and didnt leave youtube 😊❤ your videos are so fun
Nick please do this experiment. Can you color the second part of the resin and when you pour them together just leave it to cure that way? Don’t stir it at all. Then with the results (the parts that actually cure) make an globe or something? Please.
Nick, Sir , you have me Tied to this channel, no bowls about it 100% knotted in place for every creation
Nick please don't ever stop doing what you do.Myself and my kids love your videos your a ledge mate!!
Pretty cool project. You may want to consider using paracord. It comes in hundreds of colors and patterns, it’s easy to work with and it’s relatively inexpensive
You could also fit a lot more colors together and more tightly packed, as well.
paracord does have that white core though may not be as attractive once turned :(
@@mentalmoron3554
That white core is easily removed.
Just cut either end and pull out.
Common tactic in bushcrafting to get thinner cordage.
Oooo...it would be cool if it was chopped into like, inch long segments before putting it in the mold!
You tied that up beautifully!
That final result looks absolutely mint, I did think at first you were going to string us along but so glad that you bowled us over.
Glad I met you at MC23 on the merch stand "everybody needs beard oil"
Please don’t ever stop making stuff!! You are one of my favorite channels!!! 👍🏻
A bit ropey… 😂😂😂 you always make it fun and funky Nick!
You never disappoint Nick. Always look forward to your videos. Once again a beautiful piece.
I totally agree ❤
Please don't ever get discouraged! You are the reason I've gotten into resin work myself. (cogs and gears bowl specifically) and I love watching your videos with all the dad jokes and high energy. Highlight of my week!
Don’t let others bring you down. Keep doing your awesome videos!! We all love you!
To be, or Knot to be..that bowl was the question!!! That bowl is awesome!!!!
Hey Nick, I find a thin film of vasoline works well as a release agent. ☺️
That's what she said.
@@AtlantaTerry 😆😅😂🤣🤣🤣
The bowl got tied up there for a minute in the beginning!!
Glad your still here Nick!!
Gorgeous! Love the colors, and the rope is part of the beauty of it! Great work! A rope walks into a bar, and the bartender says, "Get out of here - we don't serve rope!" So the rope goes outside and ties himself in a knot, and then roughs up the end of his head, and then goes back into the bar. The bartender looks at him suspiciously and says, "Hey, aren't you that rope that was just in here?" The rope replys, "Nope. I'm a frayed knot." GROAN!
Hey Mr. Zametti,
Could you take the shaving scraps and turn them into a jar or a bowl of some kind. Just a suggestion for you to try out, as I think it would look funkadelic.
Sincerely,
Alicia Houser
(One of your biggest fans)
Not sure how you got "roped" into doing this project but it had me in "knots" with laughter. LOL Okay, I didn't laugh all that much but I had to use the pun. Definitely an interesting project ya got there. I do like it. I like it a lot!
Glad to meet and chat with you on Sunday, but as mad as you are, we really appreciate all you do. Makers Central next year is a must!!!
Glad Makers Central went well and even more glad that it lifted you out of your depression. One of these centuries I might just be well enough to visit a Makers Central so you gotta keep doing them, please 🙏
Love watching your videos, every time I find my self saying "no don't do that you silly boy" but inevitably going: " ahhh ooh well how the heck did that work?!" Tip I learned the other day from a painter and decorator...it's obvious so everyone but me probably knows it 😅...anyway, to stop the hairs from coming off paint brushes get a pair of pincers and pinch the metal collar tighter around the bristles. Obvious? Ok, but it was a revelation to me! 😂🤣😂🤣
Cheers Nick👍😁
This bowl turned out really nice!! I love the colors and the new resin did a great job! Im excited to see you do more projects with it! Thanks Nick❤❤❤
Sorry Nick, I don't like being roped into a certain type of joke. Know what I saying?
Love this one! Maybe you could use scraps and bits of things that are normally thrown away? Bits of yarn, bottle caps, paper bags, plastic bags, junk mail, etc. Thank you for continuing your art!
DUDE! I love this bowl!!! I always wondered why you never did this finish before because you work with resin. Now I know that you didn't know about it! 😂 DEFINITELY do more of this! You rock Nick!
Me and my daughter Absolutely love your videos. We have seen every single one of your videos and we look forward to seeing each and every single new video. We would be truly heartbroken if you were to stop. We think you are extremely artistic and super funny You have the coolest personality ever. We love you and your family. So please keep up the amazing work. You are truly wonderful.
Really enjoyed how lovely this bowl turned out. I love how much joy your channel has brought to everyone. I enjoy seeing the new creative shenanigans you get yourself roped into. Then you lasso all if us into watch. I've literally been at the end of my rope this week and you threw me the lifeline I needed. Thank you so much!!🥰😍
I'm glad you're still here, I always look forward to new videos and keep watching your old ones, there is always some new thing to spot that I missed before. The bowl is absolutely beautiful! Love the colours and the finish is amazing! 😊❤
there is nothing better than coming across your channel again after no idea after a very long day or several months and watching a relaxing video
It looks great Nick! You've roped me in!!😂
Dude that was cool. I love your attitude. I’d watch you do just about anything crafty.
The fact that you keep coming up with new awesome ideas is just icing on the cake.
Haha thank you so much ❤
I just finished a handle for s sword I've made. I used nylon Paracord and covered it in resin. It doesn't penetrate, but it coats it, well...just have to use a $#!+ ton.
You’ve got us all tied up in this project
Hey Nick, I'm really hoping you see this message. I suffer with depression myself at times and find it hard to get the drive and determination to carry on with projects around the house etc. There is a few things that can take me out of my funk and one of them is your channel. I love to watch you create your pieces as it'd be a dream of mine to be able to do something like that. Your an inspiration and great guy fella with a humble and kind personality that shines through in your videos. Please keep plugging away with your channel as you would be sorely missed by many including myself. Don't put to much pressure on yourself though bud. It's alright to take a break for yourself. Keep up the good work fella. Much love and respect for one of the best creators on CZcams.
thank you im glad you enjoy the content , it means a lot . take care stay funky x
I'm going to second that! Your videos always make me smile, and I really hope they have the same effect on you as you make them. 🤣😳🥰🤣 I make jewelry, and it may be nothing fancy, but when it's going well it is like you painting on the surf resin...just so satisfying and fun, I want to keep going.
Love you for you, enjoy your joy, and your music is second to none.
But....if you want a rope joke from me....'fraid not, just isn't my line. So I'll duck for the door on that note, but do have a wonderful weekend!
You can always put a funky wood rim on the rope bowl if you don’t like the fluffy rope popping through the rim.
Layer of Shellawax? 😊
Since most of the rope appeared to be nylon, the application of a heat gun would have shrunk down the bits sticking out without discoloring anything (though, watch the level of heat!).
now you're jsut stringing us along, and I'm all knotted up about it ;)
Do not quit!!!! You are pure entertainment!
Bowl looks awesome. This project is all tied up. The surf board resin worked great. Don't forget to jump the rope on your way out
A rope walks into a bar. The bartender says, “We don’t serve ropes in here.” The rope walks outside, ties a knot in the middle of her body, brushes out the strands at the bottom and heads back into the bar. The bartender says, “Aren’t you the rope I just threw out of here?” The rope replies, “No, I’m a frayed knot
Use your air compressor to separate the two bowls. The pressure of the air should separate them from the resin. Might save the bowls for another use.
Came to comment the same 😊
Mold-release agent. Just sayin.
The finish on the bowl was WONDERFUL!!!!!!
I love how you actually positioned the rope to look cool ❤ you always display time and care in your projects. When i first saw resin videos it seemed like mass production. It took me a few of your videos to respect the resin because i saw how much thought you put into all of what you do with it. It started with table. ❤
Beautiful rope bowl ! I was wondering if you have thought about using those colorful string shavings in another project ? Keep up the beautiful work and great content !
We love you Nick and will stick with you as long as you gift us with your talents. Thank you for staying❤
Love watching you make projects like these! Random material in resin crafted into beautiful works in ways only you would think to do. Never change
Mr Nick. I am glad you have not stopped. You are a joy to watch
It was fun hanging around
Thank you for making my day! I know you were in a darker place a while ago and I’m happy to see that “the bubbly Nick” is back 👍🏼 I love it when you post your videos and that always make my day 🤗
Hi Nick, wow, that bowl looks amazing. 😍 i use baby oil as a mold release. We met in Makers Central and you chose the resin keyring from me, it was either on a loop or a clip chain and had foam fruit in it. I was quite taken back when you mentioned it and it brought a tear to my eyes that you remembered it. I really appreciate all that you do and am glad your in a better place. I wiuod greatly miss your videos if you ever stopped doing them but would understand because you should do whats best for you. Sending love and hugs from South Wales ❤ x
I really enjoy your funky project. They are always a lot of fun. This bowl is quite beautiful.
I always get happy when I get a notification that you've posted a new video. That definitely looks great, call me crazy I kinda like the sanding and then the reveal, but this looks great too funky. I'm glad you're still making stuff for us I hope to keep seeing your videos for a long time.
I am glad I was roped into watching this video. You seem to rope people in with your awesome content and personality.
Totally funkadelic, Nick!!! This came out awesome!!!
❤️❤️❤️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I love all your projects! You’re part of the reason I got into making stuff with resin.
It wouldn't be the Nick Zammeti channel if you weren't making weird and strange stuff. Keep 'em coming.
Thank you for staying active and continuing to share your beautiful projects.
Nick, I'm so happy you are feeling loved and supported by your fan base. It's important that creators like you continue to make videos. So many bad times going on throughout the world, we need your creativity, laughter and positivity. ❤❤❤ Here's your rope joke (bad as it is), Have you been roping around again .... Lol. Could you have created a scalloped border along the top, leaving the rope out. What I mean is the portion of rope would not have been touched by the resin. I think it would have look really awesome, but. An see how it would be difficult. Although, you are the champion of difficult projects. Lol ❤
It's so good to see your spirits up. You are returning to the guy with the naughty sparkle in the eye. We appreciate you and all your videos. Thank you so much for sharing everything with us.
Just amazingly creative. I love the zany, crazy, creative projects you make. It's inspiring to me to try different things, just to see how they will come out!
Make another, as a fruit bowl basket, but leave a pair of rope "Handles" in resin (so their firm & sturdy) on each side. That would look awesome. 😍
Love that you have Back to the Future on in the background. Love your humor, you are great .
I do like the ideas about putting a little more forethought into the placement of the ropes, especially with all those lovely spirals. I think you could do it without sewing anything but that's a good idea too. One other idea is, you know how the first pouring of fast curing resin melted those 45's so they rippled beautifully? I think synthetic/plastic things might have really interesting results if you go ahead and use levels of fast hardening resin. It clearly doesn't affect all synthetics. Oh, one thing I noted on Blacktail Studios channel is that an alternative of sanding between levels to induce adhesion he carefully checks the resin with a plastic knife to see if it hasn't completely hardened but will still revert to a flat state. Can't remember which vid that was I've watched so many. That way the new level partially melts the old level. Cool, huh? I'm an so glad you're getting back into the groove of things, yay! One of these days I'm going to mail you an Amazon or eBay idea package, full of colorful goodies to play with. Imagination has no limits right, Nick? Except of course those frustrating creative blocks, been there done that. Hugs to you and your lovely family from Mexico. P.s. I'm American, lol.
I love watching everything you do, Nick. Please don’t ever stop using your creativity and inspiring us. Just a little aside. When I first found your channel and saw your initials, I thought they stood for New Zealand then realized you’re in the UK. Stay chuffed! 😊
Of course you'll do the NEXT Makers Central. Everyone would be lost without it.
Nick, as always your videos bring smiles to our faces. We enjoy them so much. I hope you never doubt yourself and your videos again. Here, over the pond we will continue to look forward to your videos every week. Cheers.
That surf resin stuff makes a huge difference!!!!🎺🎺
I really like how this turned out. The colors are vibrant and the rope just looks so cool. Thank you for making all the videos that you do.
You dedication to your hobby and art creates the most entertaining videos.
I liked that you didn't come to the end of your rope while making this bowl. Love it !
you are one of the most entertaining CZcamsrs, I love your work and I'm so glad we did not lose you.
Love your work. Please keep making weird things. There are enough people making ordinary objects. You are definitely an original!
At least this one didn't leave us hanging! Love seeing your creativity and what you come up with.
I’m so happy that you decided to keep making videos. CZcams wouldn’t be the same without you. I love your creativity and I’m always happy to see a new video from you. Thank you for sharing your talents and your delightful personality with all of us. ❤
Yes! You should carry on! I'd love to see a resin project, maybe a guitar with semiprecious stones! Love your videos!!! ❤😊
I can't watch your videos without thinking about the huge mess turning epoxy makes and wondering about the clean-up process. Love to see a video showing that!
I really didn't want to see you make another bowl, but you roped me into watching this one.
That looks beautiful.
I don't know if you've heard of a wool bowl they have a 🍥 swirl cut on the side to help when kitting or crocheting, I think the rope bowl would be great for that, as it looks like your ball of wool has got muddled.
Keep up the great work Nick. Love your videos, take care.
This is the most outstanding project that I have seen. That bowl is going to look good sitting in someone’s home.
Great project! As I watched I thought that it would make a great hanging lamp shade for maybe a kids room. My granddaughter is an artist and she would love this in her room. I am so glad you are not giving up on your channel, I always love watching you create!!
Have you ever done a project with a bunch of different colored glass marbles? I think that it would look really cool. Maybe with some lighting shining through all of the different colors. I think that it would be jubbly bubbly. Lol
Glad you're 'knot' a 'Frayed' to experiment with your projects Nick. You've 'roped' me in as a subscriber...
You really roped us in with this one. Came out looking amazing. That resin is a game changer for finishing.
Wow Nick you really roped me in with this one😂
Nick, I just love that you are always thinking out of the box and sharing your journey into new ideas! I always learn cool stuff and you make it fun to watch too! YOU ROCK!!!!
That finish rocked!!!!!!! Very glowing results. So pretty. ❤️
I really love watching you do your projects! I just lost my husband about a month ago and watching you for the short time makes me forget if not just for a little while. I even get to laugh some. I would like to say keep up the great videos and doing the silly things and I will keep watching. Stay Calm and keep waffling on. 😉😉💕💕
Love it!!😊 I got so excited when my wife said you had a new video up!❤ We absolutely love your channel and your Bubble 🫧 Jubble Personality!! Big fan from Indiana USA 🇺🇲
Keep the shavings and make a confetti vase/ jar! If you do the jar, you could make an iridescent or holographic know for the lid!!! That would be so cute!!! Also, I finally found my own niche hobby! It's crocheting!!! I love watching you with your interests, and it has helped me stay excited to find mine! You are awesome!!!
Oooh! Crossover! Crochet him a bowl and plates, teacup n saucer, with something like kidsilk haze or number 2 thread....and he resins and whatevers them!
Thinking something with a halo wold be fun to see in the resin...
@onafixedincome that would actually be really cool! But it would need to be something similar to the size of one of his bowl molds to make the resin process easier. Though it would be interesting to make amigurumi balls instead. Basically crocheting one over the other until it gets to a certain size, that way he could carve away to see different colors. Only issue is how much resin would be lost to the blank space. Cause if it was completely solid, you would lose a bunch of the work, but too empty would be a lot of lost resin. I wonder if there would be a cool way to pull it off.
This resin has me so excited for your future projects!! 10/10
Hi, Nick! Great job. I’m going to be tied up with anticipation until you use the color-flecked shavings into another project! Your final product is amazing, I must say…❤🎉❤
