Here I am, suppose to be going to sleep. It's 1:23am and I have to work in a few hours, but what do I find a new video from you?? This is well worth not having much sleep for work.
Same time zone same story here 😂
It's 1:16 am here in Wyoming. I'm just getting ready for bed. I don't work. But, I do enjoy seeing more of Nick's videos at this time. It's probably noon where he is.
@stephanievivier290 hi Stephanie it's 8.30am in the UK just now 😀
@@sarahchalmers9120 oh y'all just in the early morning. I have never been out of the United States. It's good to know how different times are. Thank you, and good night from Wyoming.
5pm in Australia
Hey, I know you tend to keep stuff around... If you still have that one that had broken, it would make the coolest geode! You could paint the inside with chameleon dust/paint, or something like that, and gold around the edges where it's all rough! If nothing else, there's something to try again. You could use the slime to give you a nice random pattern indentation.
I've been watching for a very long time and missed this one, so thanks for sharing again!
I was thinking filling it up with resin that has thickened up to be a bit "moldable" and mix a few colors together and fill the space like the slime.
Love the way Nick "whips" on those gloves😛😁
Me too. 😂
Trademark stuff
I wasn't sure if it was going to work, but what you ended up with was pretty cool, especially the purple one.
I think what you may want to do is maybe coat the inside of the molds especially the clear ones with some UV Resin first you lay down a layer then put your slime in and then fill the rest with the resin.
Maybe coat the two haves with the UV resin then put the glob of the purple in because of its thicker consistency, then tape them back together and fill the rest through the drilled hole.
Just a thought, but I did enjoy the video because I like watching when you and Ben Worx do the experiments they are do fun to watch, whether they work out or not.
😊👍👍👍
it doesn't always work out how you expect, but i love that you always try it anyway. that's the only way to find out what works and what doesn't, and you learn more and get some crazy results along the way
That was so cool watching again - plus the added bonus of cute Puppy alert 😁
😊 thank you
I agree. Bring the puppy in as the mascot. A lot of CZcamsrs do it 👍
The one where the slime fell out created a really cool crater. Cover it with a colour shifting powder and backfill with black resin. It will look like a really cool planet surface or something.
I'm one of those who saw this for the first time. The purple one turned out real cool. Maybe because it wasn't as "slimy" as the other one.
I wonder if it would work better if you poured a base layer of resin first, then added the slime and covered it with the rest of the resin so the slime is like suspended in the center.
Hopefully you'll try this project again sometime.
I love to see Nick excited about a project or experiencing it even just goofing around. It's one of the best things about this channel.
And the slime stuff reminds me of the Nickelodeon (I think) Gack (i think it was called) I got on my birthday one year as a kid. It was great to make silly noises with and stuff.
I had not seen it before, so I'm really glad you uploaded it again!
The purple one looks like a giant wave. I love it!
Love the purple one - I got the exact same that comes in an egg. Very relaxing to play with it, especially if you add glitter or other stuff (came in a set). And I must say I'm looking forward to your videos even more now because Rocky is super cute 🥰. He slso seems to be a rather quiet puppy and very attentive. I think he understands you better than you might think - those are intelligent dogs 😁 Have a great weekend y'all!
That was classic Nick, not working as thought, but fun and interesting. Love it!
The video is 16 minutes long, and it was posted 13 minutes ago.
@@westleyjacobus9058pre recorded/edited? 🤷♂️
2 techs to try:
1) pour over: degas resin, (maybe let it thicken some) then pour it over your piece, creating a perfectly clear shell encasing it: usually with no polishing needed. (see any of @jedrek29t 's egg diorama projects)
2) Thick-Set Posing: set up your container in as close to it's final shape as possible, those clear plastic ornament balls or acrylic box or w/e. fill it with degassed resin and let it start to go off (or use a thickener, or thicker mix ratio). when it's thick as molasses or cold honey you can push and poke your into it, and it'll stay where you put it.
This MIGHT also prevent the problems with the water-based gel slime interacting with the resin.
Always love a new Nick-video in the morning! (Even though it's an old one) 😊❤
Jammin' to the Slime Vibes 💜 I've started many art experiments because of you and I've had so much fun trying new things! Thank you! 😊
Love that wave one, would give that a home anyway! Thanks Nick ❤
The spheres are my favorite! One of your creations would look amazing in my paperweight collection. 🥰
Nick, I’m playing catch up with videos. Project definitely didn’t go to plan, but this is why I love your videos: experimentation and finding cool finishes when things don’t go exactly like you’d hoped. Thanks for the fantastic content!
Hey thank you for sticking around 😻🙏🏽
Just awesome as always Nick ❤ you really are talented and ingenious! Thank you 👍🏼
Oooo the purple one looks like an alien tide. Super pretty Maybe make some dog bowls 😊
@1:57 😍 GLOVE SNAPS! 😁
So good to hear your voice, music and sound effects again, Nick!
If you ever doubt the worth of your content, Nick, please remember this comment - I FRIGGIN' LOVE WATCHING EACH ONE FROM START TO FINISH! 🤗 Just really so good and enjoyable and you are clearly a lovely chap. Cheers!
😂❤❤❤❤❤
Keep up the good work nick!!
I hadn't seen it yet. I loved the purple one. That was a difficult challenge. As always, love that pup ❤
I think you needed to coat the mold with resin first so it had a shell. The one the smile fell out of would make a lovely geode! It helps that you had different types of slime. The jiggly rainbow one was a water slime and the purple one was more of a putty.
2 vase shapes one inside the other (put a clear cube on the bottom to keep the space) and a ring to seal the top. Put anything you want into the void and seal shut.
After you tried the little beads, I figured you'd go back to the drawing board as it were lol
Another cool project, Thank You
Glad you like it!
I adore your energy and your positive attitude. The purple sphere is very pretty, it reminds me of an ocean wave. Love the sounds, esp. the gloves snap! Luv ya ❤
At 11 minutes and 21 seconds I recon that's a project for next time. Place it back in the plastic container, fill the void with psychedelic colour resin, cure and sand sand sand. Dadaah, I think it'll look awesome. Thanks, as always, Nick for the lengths you go to for your viewers. See you next time :-)
It's Slime Time
I'd love to see some more experiments. That purple slime looks like you captured a wave
Get ya bawls out my son 😎😂
Love to see you do popcorn.
Love seeing the pup
Thanks for the code Nick, see you at makers Central 👍
Cloud slime might work better for future reference 😁
I always wondered why you didn’t slush cast the inside of the mold that makes spheres. Put the mold on the lathe, toss in just a bit of resin that’s liquid, but cures somewhat quickly, tape the hole up, and turn the lathe on a slow speed to coat the inside of the mold. Then you could drill the epoxy sphere, pour in the goo, and cap with UV resin.
Man I wish I could cross the pond to come to makers Central to meet you sir. Love your channel love what you do, your servant Warren
Those would make beautiful paperweights
It's amazing that you got anything from the combo of slime and resin. 😮 Slime is water-based and resin is alcohol based! 🙏 It looks very cool! 👍
Love the Dog-o. Please include him just a little bit in you future videos. Like a workshop dog. Love the projects!!!!
the slime that didn't work is water-based, and the water reacted with the resin. Oil based CAN do it too, but has a much better chance of working (as is the case with the purple)
To seal the slime in, perhaps coat the inside of the mold with resin first. Let it set. Then insert slime and the rest of the resin.
I miss the completely wood items. Especially those glues together in odd shapes. Can we have a few more please Nick? The slime one that did not set put pale lilac resin coating over the open part…an instant GEODE
Gorgeous Rottie pup.
This was definitely interesting!!!
Awesome job, Nick!!!
❤️❤️❤️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
A Slimeball!!! Strange and wonderful. 😊
Resin is a two part system that has to be mixed together in order to set so if there's any chance of slime working it would have to be mixed in as well. I'm guessing it would prevent the resin from curing properly but I don't know.
Extremely Awesome Video and Extremely Awesome Project Nick Zammeti🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂
You're too funny 😂 love your puppy too ❤
So, some ideas... vaccuum the air out of the slime before you put it in resin, possibly even vaccuum the air out of it again once it's in the resin. The results seemed to be frothy around the slime... and since they seem to float a lot, cure a 'base' first which can then act as a top that the slime/resin mix is cured with/in/under so that the slime can't escape.
Love the purple one!
The purple one looks cool! You never know unless you try, great video as always ❤
That purple world was awesome! I haven’t seen this idea so it’s new to me! That gives me idea can you drip paint and one of those balls with the resin and then fill it up so we get kind of like a marble cat’s-eye affect? Thanks for the video.
As a potential idea, what about putting mold in resin? Apparently putting bleach on a slice of bread will get really tall mold but I assume it's really delicate. Would be fascinating to see though and to see what would happen if it's encased in resin
Hey Nick! Yes, that first kind of slime just doesn't like resin. I do remember this project. It's always fun to do crazy experiments, keep them coming! Your fur baby is just adorable, ya gotta love those sweet babes! Big Hugs from Texas!😜😁
I hadn't seen this one before. I like the suggestion made previously that you should try coating your mould with a layer of UV resin first. Good to see Rocky in the video again.
Love the purple 💜
11:31 - Real Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom monkey brains vibes going on
Awesome video, Nick! Thank you for reuploading this video. My favorite is the purple planet looking sphere. Rocky is so adorable! ❤🐶
What fun, resin and slime! The resin just doesn't seem to like the moisture in the slime but you got it done on this one. Way to go Nick!!
If you do this again. Try putting some resin about half way up in one half of the christmas ornament spheres. Wait until it's almost set, tacky enough to stick to the slime, then close it up and add the last bit of resin.
Great seeing some of the older videos. See you at Makers Central.
The purple one is so awesome and unique. I think the colorful slime might have too much liquid content maybe.
Regardless if it's an old one or not I think it looks cool and I like those round molds too
Water and oil don't mix, and while you're not exactly wanting the resin and slime to "mix", they're going to try to separate from each other.
Two things come to mind that might be worth trying:
1. add a surfactant, e.g., a drop of washing-up liquid. That will allow oil-based stuff (resin) to occupy the same space as water-based stuff (slime). You'd still have an issue if the resin isn't on the outside, though.
2. make your own water-free slime. Toy slime is water based, usually a mix of PVA, baby oil and borax in water for homemade stuff (commercial slime will have other additives to make it last longer). The PVA glue is water based and for the borax solution people tend to use contact lens solution. But, you can make a decent slime just with baby oil (or vegetable oil if it's not to be played with...) and corn flour (aka corn starch).
Cheers!
You are so talented. And funny. Love your vidoes. Always oddly satisfying. 😊
😊 thank you
I was wondering if you could mix while making the resin with different kind of slime that stays firm under pressure but becomes like liquid when let go...?
I think the jiggly slime would look cool in a shaker.
The purple slime globe looked like a wave.
I would think that there is too much moisture in the giggly slime to allow the resin to set properly. I really like the purple pearlescent one. It does look like a planet!
If only I didn't live on the other side of the world. Someday I'd love to go to Makers Central
Always trying something strangely new. Awesome!!
Cool project!!
Nick what I think you ought to try to do is . Maybe Try to cast a spider web.
Glad i can't sleep! I'da missed the master at work. I figgered the slime was gonna stay goopy. But that's what happens with experiments! ❤
Hi Nick. Been a long time since I've enjoyed one of your videos. Glad to be watching again 😊
Oh no, I was about to go to sleep and was going to search for relaxing music and now here I am 😅❤
You should make a silicone mold of that ball and make some resin ones .
Love the concept 😁👍
Nick, you really need to first roto-cast a hollow resin sphere, then drill a hole and fill it with the slime and additional resin.
Really enjoyed this video looks good.
I wonder if it would work if you put resin in first, then add the slime & follow with more resin on top?
So very cool ❤
Awesome project Nick, oldie but goldie🔥🔥🔥
can the slim dry and hold it color? if so drying it might work.
Brilliance just Brilliance
Puppy! Cool vid as always. That pup needs more guest appearances!
Love it!!
For the half ball that didn't work, paint the inside with color shifting powder and then fill it with resin?
Maybe do a fast set resin, and slowly drip the slime into it after it gets thick enough?
I liked it!! Hoping to see another lego project in the near feature!!!
Have a great weekend ✌️
Never saw it, I think the purple one was very cool!
I thought i had seen most of the last couple years and don't remember this one. Enjoyed the experimenting though. Cheers!!
Love it Nicky, I think it looks like an ocean wave. Keep rocking those ideas ❤
Jiggly wiggly!!😂😂😂😂😂💖💕💓 Love you and your videos!!! Keep up with the waffling!!!! I'm from Winston Salem,NC,USA.
3:30 am im trying to fix my sleep .. oh look its a nick video we'll try tomorrow
Love watching your videos. And your fur baby is heart melting. Said hi to you last year at Maker's Central. I will come say hi again .
Strange one that! Looking forward to Makers Central in a couple of weeks....👌
