I'm not a fanboy , but I feel for his situation with WB and his passion for film making.
Watching the Snyder Cut made me realize that we took George Lucas's independence for granted when he made the Star Wars Prequels. Whatever adjustments he made to them were entirely of his own volition, not because 20th Century Fox wanted him to cut back on Jar Jar.
Talk about hate... People thought he got fired in the middle of filming Justice League not knowing that he left on account of his daughter. Idiots!

Watchmen is a stone cold classic. In years to come, when we look back on the past 15 years, Watchmen will be re-appraised as one of the best hero movies. It's a marvel that he captured so much story so effectively in one movie. Marvel would take 3 movies to do the same job. It's in my Top Three movies of all time. And I, like most here, have seen an awful lot of good movies.

Amen. Since "300", I fell in spiritual love with the guy because he has a great, detailed style yet has a down to earth aspect when it comes to adult fantasy. He also has an understanding of the human condition.
He's the sort of guy you want to see win so bad. Like seeing him win makes you feel good. It's very strange because he's pretty much a complete stranger as far as im concerned and i only learned about him in 2019 when I rewatched MoS for the 2nd time after its initial release in 2013
He is like a perfect mix of Quinton Tarantino and Michael bay. His story in the script if very strong but his visual story telling is where he really shines

The death scene of Hollis Mason in the Watchmen director’s cut is one of the finest scenes in all of superhero cinema. I don’t always love Snyder’s filmmaking choices, but when I do, I love em a lot.

Man of Steel and 300 had some of the best fight scenes ever. Watchmen was revolutionary and so iconic.
I used to think Josh Whedon was the humble and nice guy, and Zack was the intense, messed up director.

@@cyrilmarchand4592 I don't disagree, however he was not fired. Tragically he had a family tragedy that required him to leave set and the studio decided they needed to continue forward without him. They couldn't wait. It is a business after all. So Joss Whedon came in, saw the Snyder cut and thought it was too dark and moody. He ordered reshoots and tried to make it more bright and funny like his Avengers movie. It was awkward, gross and made little to no sense. I'm glad Zack got the opportunity. He and Nolan are completely overlooked for their abilities and both are just trying to tell the stories they find interesting. The best thing we can do is continue to support them by going and seeing their movies. Execs will always act in their own self interests and not in the interests of fans.

Love him or hate him, the dude has vision and his movies are distinct and you can feel his direction. He's an action David Lynch, someone so dedicated to his craft he is willing to step down rather than compromise his vision. Yeah Zod died but you feel Henry's regret

Fabian Wagner (dop of Justice league) and zack snyder is best combo. Fabian Wagner really added aesthetics to the movie's tine5. I loved ZSJLs cinematography. I hope he works with him again.
This man is responsible for making me a big Superman fan. Used to be a Batman and Spider-Man fan but after watching Man of Steel. Love his version of Superman and his artistic vision.

The fact the Christopher Nolan enquired with Zack if he wanted to do Man of Steel shows how much he thinks of Zack Snyder. MOS was the start of the DC universe and certainly one of the most impt characters. #Restorethesnyderverse

@@MonkeyDBatman This wouldn’t surprise me. Their filmmaking is quite different and the final battle seems a bit out of synch with Nolan. Early in the movie Nolan’s influence is quite apparent

That film is so much more meaningful than anyone realized at the time.
I'll admit, as much as I adore Zack Snyder with all my heart and soul, I used to absolutely despise Sucker Punch. Granted, I've only seen it once in my life, so my exact memory of it is very fuzzy. I'd personally prefer to wait until we finally get to see the official Director's Cut of the film so I can properly assess it.

Batman v Superman is a masterpiece. The montage of Superman rescues is the most beautiful, poetic and sublime sequence ever created in a superhero film.
Man, in his interviews for army of the dead, he seems so much happier than when he was with WB. It’s a shame WB doesn’t want him anymore, but they don’t deserve him anyways. Really looking forward to Army!

Zack is one of the nicest and most passionate guys in the industry in my opinion and I couldn't be more happy for all that he accomplished.
