Honestly, because its the only scene where CG looked real. All the other parts you can tell what is CG and what is not. If you can see if something is CG then its not good CG.

On the other hand, I also understood it as Barry running so fast, past the speed of light, that he semi enters the Speed Force. Could make sense, considering it is said to be one of the foundational force of the universe, so it looks like a galaxy.

Because all he wants in life is to earn the respect of his idol and be free. I might be misremembering this, but when he has the motherboxes, I can't stop but think that he looked so happy, almost giddy, which is weird to say for a DCEU villain, yet it would fit. I just feel like something not often talked about is how the Snyder cut's far longer run time allow's him to really express his creativity, with slow-motion visual effects and more character development that most director's do not the luxury to have. It makes you wonder if this longer run time is the better way for movies to go forward especially for streamed movies! Like imagine how other movies could be greater with this longer run time.

Dude there was countless dragged out scenes over use of slow motion which didn't make Flash's scenes special. Quicksilver's moments in the xmen films stood out. There was no need this film to be this long. What was the point of scenes like Alfred mansplaining to Diana how to make tea ...seriously she's a 1000 Years old and lives in London. I would like to point out one more thing about Steppenwolf’s Snydercut Armor: it conveys more emotion about Steppenwolf.
A prime example would be the FaceTime with Darkseid. His armor would retract a bit from his face to his collarbone as he kneels down to him. It conveys more emotion about Steppenwolf’s Loyalty to Darkseid and how he is entirely desperate to return to his side.
