In this video I show you how easy it is to install a Lunchbox Locker in the rear axle of a Jeep Cherokee XJ. The locker I install is a Spartan Lunchbox Locker by USA Standard Gear and it is going in a Chrysler 8.25 rear axle.

I'm so dumb man, I thought my locker wasn't fitting, but I wasn't aware you aren't supposed to re-use the old shims. It came with no instructions.. Time to take the diff cover back off. Appreciate the content!!!

A healthy amount of gear oil and lithium assembly grease. amzn.to/4bDwVDd

And this is only for the open diff carriers not the limit slip TracLoc ones?

@@madman432000 the setup is different in the tracloc, from what I understand it should work in those carriers as well but the disassembly will definitely be different but I am not 100 percent sure that it will work. I know you can pick up a new carrier for pretty cheap though.

I wouldn't recommend daily driving with the rear locked, unless you live somewhere that doesn't get much snow....

We don't often get snow but I haven't noticed any issues driving in it so far when we do.
