Lene Marie Fossen [18.08.1986 - 22.10.2019] She rejected the linear progression of time that forced her to go through puberty and stopped eating at the tender age of 10. She struggled with anorexia for the rest of her life. Fossen chose to be open about her disease and found her means of expression in photography.

Such a beautiful reaction to this incredible piece of art. Because that is what it really is, art at its finest. It may provoke you, it may make you cry, but it will definitely not pass by you without leaving an impression and making you think and evaluate life. It that is not art I don't know what is. Lene and Susanne were actually close, personal friends, and you can see Susanne by Lene's bed at the 12:52 mark. I love your reactions, Fil! Have a great weekend. Much love and respect from Norway♥♥♥ And thanks yet again to Tom for requesting it 🙂

Not easy to react to a video like this, but you did it well. And Susanne is good at conveying emotions. The visuals and music are pure and true art, and we need this feed sometimes for reality checking in a superficial world.

My older sister had anerexia and bulemia when she was younger ...
    I've always been a snoop ... a risk taker ....
I remember being 13 and finding half a dozen kitchen pots in my sister's room under her bed with vomit in them ...
    a fucking nightmare ...
Watching another reactor who had previously harnessed anerexia for herself ( you can relapse )
She said .... " When your mind tells you you must fast ... you eat ..
when your mind tells you you must throw it up you don't ...
when your mind tells you to go jogging after eating to work it off .... you don't "
THIS is how difficult it is for the suferrer ...
You do the opposite of everything your mind tells you to do to overcome it ...

I was looking for reactions to Susanne Sundfør on your channel and didnt find any. She was on my request list for you, but now Tom has introduced you to her.
On the one hand, I like to listen to beautiful, relaxing music that takes me away, makes me forget for a while all the horrible things that happen around us and nourishes my soul. On the other hand, I agree with you that we need such songs/videos because many of us easily forget how lucky we are and complain about things that are totally meaningless compared to the real problems.
Although the story of this song is very sad, at least Susanne's voice was absolutely beautiful.

I'll recommend taking time to watch the documentary "Self portrait".
It has a soul searching and yet healing effect. I struggled, as many, with eating disorders in my teens. It truly is a DIS-EASE.
Luckinly it didn't manifest as early as Lene Marlin, and many others. I feel the earlier you get this dis-ease, the worse it gets.
May Lene Mari rest peacefully, and I am so grateful for her and her family's brave decision to make this important work of art.
Her passion for art and her teachings therein lives on. 💗💕💞💖✨🌟

I believe I read somewhere that Lene Marie Fossen and Susanne were friends and that's Suusanne holding her hand in the video. Must have been really difficult to sing this song. Just subscribed.

Fossens pictures are stunningly beautiful and painful, and her story is a story of loss and mental illness.

Very sad indeed. She was hung up on the calorie chart and stopped eating certain foods. She wanted to stop the time when she was ten years old. She did not want to grow up, and eventually stopped eating. She denied her body from starting puberty, and struggled with severe anorexia from the age of 13. For the last 7 years of her life, she ate nothing. She drank only nutritional drinks. She died at the age of 33. She then weighed only 17 kg.
The film is a raw and honest insight into her acclaimed photography and her struggle with aneroxia. In her film-project she wanted to «undress» the disease, show it in all its horror. How it is to live with it. Expose the shame, confront the disease, break its rules for survival. She always had an inner glow from which she created, regardless of adversity. She really wanted to live and when she took pictures she forgot that she was sick and felt free. In the documentary we see Lene Marie photographing refugees in Greece.
She managed to see the movie before she died. Together with her parents, she decided that the film should be launched on schedule, it was important for her that her story could mean something to others and maybe help them.
