    I’ve been keeping a career journal and google doc with my work projects. It’s been helping me update my experience/resume and retain new skills. I’m glad to see the notebook/ diary mentioned in this video :)

    the "ben franklin" effect is something I've never heard of and it is a brilliant way to present this aspect of relationships. ofc it has to be asking for help they can deliver on or it has the opposite effect haha

    I'm going to start my first professional job 😀 In the Fashion Industry and I am so excited! It is a part time job but I will be gaining experience and hopefully lool forward for a full time position. Helpful tips, thanks.

    I thought it was interesting that they mention the onboarding process at some companies being poorly handled. That just happened to me this week. The HR lady was very discourteous and rude to me because I had a misunderstanding with the paperwork. She even shouted at me at one point. When she left the room I scrapped the whole deal and walked out. The shame of it all is that I had 30 years of experience in my field that I was bringing to their company, and they had to treat me like a big schmuck. Their loss.

    I had a great job and had to leave due to issues in the market. Meeting the salary benefits and overall enjoyment of the job has been impossible.

    How to find out what the company dress code is

      This is discussed in detail in the “first day at work” video, but basically comes down to:
      (1) ask your hiring manager what it is
      (2) if you didn’t ask, then try to remember what people were wearing when you had your interviews
      (3) if still in doubt rather overdress than underdress (to play it safe) without going over the top

    Basically... these tips are formulated for neurotypical people... not for people that are on the spectrum.. where being social tends to actually do more harm then good sadly.
