Thanks for your time and opinions in your reviews of lenses, it matters a lot.

Thanks for this video! Did the firmware update they released fix any of these issues in your experience? Was considering this lens because the specs are perfect for my needs, but not buying because I've seen reports like yours elsewhere also. Thanks!

Thanks for the review! Got the X-S10 with 18-55 and looking for some more wide angle. But still not 100% convinced of the samyang.. although i like the f2 and size! Fuji would make our life much easier just by publishing a similar focal length with a wide aperture! Or a compact 2.8 zoom. Let’s see what Tamron delivers, but for Video the 18-300 doesn’t looked to good :( I love Fuji but i really miss the equivalent of a 15-35 f2.8 fullframe with OIS in an acceptable size.

I have just ordered the Viltrox 13mm F1.4. That is another potentially good option, although not as wide as you'd probably wish.
But yes, you're right, a 10 or 12mm F2 from Fuji wood be a great thing... But it doesn't look like it's gonna happen anytime soon

Hello Luca, as usual, very thorough and honest review. I understand why 3rd party lenses exist, options (for whatever reasons) are always good to have, but i prefer to use native primes and zoom lenses. Be well, stay safe and i'm looking forward to your next video.

Thank you as usual! You're right, I like to have native ones.... The issue in this case is that we don't have one that is comparable

@@LucaPetraliaPhotography You're absolutely right about not having a comparable lens. Having said that, even though I've been doing photography for many years, I'm just an amateur/hobbyist that only shoots for fun, in this case, if i can't get the shot by moving a couple of steps back with my 16mm lens, I'll photograph something else, or just go home😂

Unfortunately it was. I had to sell it, although I did like the overall size, weight and field of view. In paper it could have been the perfect vlogging lens
