finally someone acknowledged that the noise is coming from the weak neck curtain! thx
Awesome video, subscribed!
Right on! Thanks for subscribing!
Just after a few months the sunvisor mechanism broke. One of the pins is broken. It's time to buy a new visor, but I can't really find it in my region, and I can't buy a cheap one from China. They just don't sell visors for F70! The helmet is quite noisy. It's pretty tight on cheeks, but it mostly depends on the head. All in all, I believe, there better options.
Hey Nikolai, if you're looking for a replacement you'd want a HJ-32 shield, we normally carry them in stock here: www.speedaddicts.com/search?search_query=F70+shield#/filter:ss_featured:In$2520Stock
the F70 is definitely a good mid tier option. If you are looking for a more quiet ride, looks for a beefy neckroll as a lot of noise seeps in through that area. Hope that helps!
If you pay shipping both ways for returns or exchanges and are competitive in price, I’m in. Good to know as it’s darn near impossible to find a local retailer with the right brand, size and color.
Hey Wayde - You've got it right! If you're in the lower 48 states and the product is still new with original packaging we have self service returns where you get get a free label in a few clicks! Thanks for watching and thank you for your support 🏁
@@SpeedAddictsTV looked over site and it’s pretty competitive pricing. I’ll definitely give you guys a shot.
@@SpeedAddictsTV well you convinced me. Just ordered a new lid, the Nexx X-Vilitur Latitude. I wanted a fiberglass based shell that is light and quiet. Hoping my Cardo Freecom can be used.
As someone who has used the RPHA 11 model, I must say that the air ventilation works well. But in the winter it gets a little too cold for me. How’s the winter performance of F70 in the cold days? Thanks
The HJC F70 is defiantly less leaky than the RPHA 11. Track ready helmet typically don't have the tightest sealing vents. Helmets like the RPHA 11 / RPHA 11 Pro are focus on max flow and weight savings.
@@SpeedAddictsTV Thanks for the information.
Thanks for the informative video. On the HJC website it shows the regular F70 as DOT/ECE but the carbon F70 is only DOT approved. Are you aware as to why the carbon would only be DOT approved and not ECE.
It is ECE approved, 22.05. A cooking pot could pass DOT so pretty much can be ignored as a certification standard.
@@flippy66Gave me a good laugh!
This helmet is DOT and ECE rated.
How robust is the coating on that F70? I'd be worried about it chipping away. Also, can you attach 3M pads to it for a GoPro?
Many sold, no warranty issues with the textured finish on the F70. We can not comment on adhesive as we have not tested it.
I've had one of these for a year or two now. Don't ride all that often, but still sometimes have trouble finding the shade mechanism. Guess if I rode it everyday, I'd be used to it by now.
I cringed every time the demonstrator put his hands/fingers on the face shield. Which means a lot of cringes. Didn't realize I was so sensitive to that until watching this.
Thanks for watching!
Does it have emergency quick release pads?
Standard cheek pads.
Is the f70 still Worth it nowedays as it doesn't have ece 22.06?
You can upgrade to the new F71. The price on the F70 is a lot lower.
What about wearing glasses for this helmet? Greets
There should be ample room to wear glasses with this helmet!
i cannot for the life of me find a helmet that has a xs shell. or even a small shell that is also safe someone in the comments pls give me recommendations 💀 i plan on getting a ninja 400 for my first bike and want to be safe.
Schuberth C4. It doesen't get any smaller I guess. You as well go for kids helmets as they feature somtimes really small shells.
If you cannot find an XS that fits your head, then you may need to go with youth sizing.
"F70 - Everything you could want in a helmet". What if I want a Five star Sharp test result and for it to have passed the Snell test? What if I want Quick release visor, padding and retention system? Does any helmet have everything? Probably best to make a list of what is most important to least and make sure it has the top ones. Ref. helmet box on the right - HJC No.1 in the world? I do love the colours their helmets come in, though, and the drop down sun visor.
Thanks for the feedback! As far as we are aware Snell will not pass any helmet with an interior sunshade. All helmets sold with this feature in the USA will be either DOT or DOT & ECE.
As for HJC's claim of being the top helmet brand by unit sales in the world, we don't have reason to dispute that. In our experience they are #1 by a significant margin.
We're with you in that a quick release visor swap would be handy, however most folks purchasing helmets with sunshades run clear and do not swap on the road.
@@SpeedAddictsTV Thank you, that is very interesting and informative.
