Bro ive been driving around with the yellow foil on it 😆😆😆😆
Good idea, stops it from scratching.
I installed mine and rode it like that fir the whole day wondering why my vision is so blurry 😂😭
😂😂😂
@@umutmithat7274Lololol, I pulled it out and called bullshit on it because it was light blue and blurry, for a yellow visor 😂
😂😂😂😂😂
Vanessa, you did a great job explaining this pin lock system. I had no idea how to work it and everybody that talks about it does it in a way that assumes you were born with the knowledge. Thank you.
Finally...!! A clear video explaining how to put on and take off the Pinlock lens. Thank you very much and greetings from Italy
Hands down this is the best tutorial video for installing and removing a Pinlock!! Even puts Pinlocks video to shame!! 👍👌
Used pinlock for years , but didn’t know it came in 3 grades, found out that 120 is the best , used by gp drivers , it’s expensive, but fitted it to my latest winter helmet , it’s brilliant and woudnt go back to grade 7 or the other one ( which I’ve forgotten) . 😊😊👍👍👍 also don’t forget that the tabs your pinlock attaches to visor can be turned to improve the seal😊👍🤣
Thats what i’m planning to buy this winter season, thanks for the detailed review 👍
Glad I found this footage my j-cruise Shoei is fogging up like SF CA
Thanks Vanessa, very clear (no pun intended!) demonstration, off now to install on my new Bell.
Very comprehensible and great all around video. great tips. thanks !
outstanding video! I recently purchased a shoei Neotec II with this system. Your video is so much better than the written instructions! thank you Miss Vanessa!
This was the best video that I watched, and I watched a few of them. Thanks.
Vanessa Ruck you did an excellent video about the Pinlock system, I didn't know what Pinlock meant when I saw it on the features of an AGV Helmet. After watching your video I am now au fait with the Pinlock System and its features and know how to install and care for it. Thank You!!
Brilliant! Ordering one of these rn. Ty
Just bought a second pinlock for my second tinted visor. The install seems easy enough. Thank you
Great video, thanks for simplifying this whole pinlock issue. I've always heard about these but never understood the practical benefit nor the installation process. Thank you!
Brilliant vid! That yellow film is a bugger to get off and find the edge! I just sat it on my lap and slid it in the pinlock on one side, then folded it onto the visor until I got the the other end, then slightly flexed the visor ever so slightly outwards so the other pin lock slipped into place. Job done! Thanks again! 👍
Wow, great video. Answered every question I could ever think of.
Thank you. A lot clearer now.
Thanks for adding the "refreshing the pinlock" bit
Great info there thanks, especially the fact about refreshing the visor.
Thank you, very helpful!
Amazing - my first helmet (5yrs) actually came with that and I had no idea what was! I thought it eas some type of sunshade and could never figure out how to use it.. 😂😂😂😂
I had no idea what a pin lock was and after watching this super excellent video, I now know what it is and will buy a helmet that has the pin lock system
What a beautiful …. Helmet
Great demo!
Really helped thanks!
perfect presentation ! thanks
Awesome video - thanks for sharing 😎
Thanks for the explanation.
My visor started fogging up when I stumbled across this vid
Nice one mate - spot on helpful ... ta
Very good video, thanks.
nice one, i did wonder how it actually fitted, easier than i though.
Great video
You saved me hours of research. Thanks Van_Essa!
Ty so much ❤
I have that to. Works when its not raining or snowing. So when I drive in rain it really get between the pinlock and visor. Have checked and can see any gaps between. So I would says it is not working in every weather.
Shoot me down in flames, but I've never had fogging issues with modern, ventilated helmets, regardless of (UK) season. But thanks for the explanation, which is excellent.
Lucky, mine fogs all the time.
honestly for me the fogging problem is my glasses much more than my shield. ive used pinlock before and its good to have i guess. it does work so if you dont wear glasses it can help without popping up the visor
Those EU helmets are badass.
Years of riding, never had luck with pin locks. I use fog wipes and good for about 2 weeks then reapply. Never let me down.
Super
very well explained thank you
what is optical clarity at night ? does pin-lock over time saturate needs to dry out ?
Same tech, that my grand father used to stick to his rear window of his classic car in the 70's.
Great demonstration - very thorough.
Don't think the explanation of how it works applies when indoors.
The visor and Pinlock are both at room temperature - any improvement seen indoors must be from coatings - which should have been applied to the visor in the first place.
Just bought a transitions lens for my Shoei RF1200. Don’t have any opinion on applying a pinlock insert on this type of visor? Are there any downsides? Thanks in advance!
Dankeschön
Where did you get that dope ass cylinder piston necklace?
i’ve been riding a long time and NEVER had to deal with fogging or the need for a pin lock. if you know how you don’t need to waste money on a pin lock
Great video. I have two different helmets with them and never used them. Do they distort vision in any way? I'm a bit older and not a clear as years gone past lol. thanks.
No distortion at all.
Very helpful and informative but where does the word condensating come from ?
What i dont understand is, why the Visors dont have a built in double Glass Airpocket from the Factory?
true, i don't care if they charge more
My helmet came with a pinlock.
why did yall remove the course raider 2.0/course surfer Pinlock, i bought the helmet, and now the pinlock is not available anymore.
Plus now my visor is all fogged up when i ride. if not bringing it back, is there something i can do to prevent the condensation?
Thank you for this video. I found my Pinlock(70) insert touches the visor (MT V14) and creates some patches of vacuum. Is this something normal?
Although my previous SMK came with a built-in Pinlock, that didn't create any such patches.
Oh that sounds frustrating. My tip is to double check you out 100% have the right pin lock for the visor. If yes then I'd suggest removing, cleaning and reinstalling to see if that helps. They can be a little fiddly. I hope you get it sorted as they should work smoothly. Worst case maybe reach out to pin lock for support?
What do you use to clean the pinlock once you've removed it?
She is soooooo Beautiful 😻
Have a helmet with pinlock getting rid as in rain water runs between 2 visors! Cant see! Prefer single visor, used to that after 35 years on bikes. Ordered nice matt black lid to match my black exterior 🫣🧐😂
Adjust your pins for a better seal.
Hjc hj-17 i bought had cracks on both the pinlocks.
I never put mine (came with the helmet) on because I assumed I was missing some sort of pin
It’s so funny…. I never fit the pin lock on my shoei NXR because I never actually looked in to the benefits. I’ll do this when I get home
What position should indicator pins be in before/after installation? Do they adjust the tension and how will you know if the are in the correct position?
because there are manufacturers who mount anti-fog visors
was it pinlock 30, 70 or 120?
"condensating"... is not a word. Condensing is the word you are trying to say. Your breath causes condensation on the lens, but that is because your breath is much hotter and more humid than the existing air and the moisture CONDENSES on the lens.
Oh my god she is beautiful
Ci farei volentieri un giro in moto con te
my visor gets fogged just watching her video, so what do I do now?
😂
Not nice bro
Pinlocks suck at night. Always keep around a non pinlock helmet (or visor) for when the sun goes down.
been wonder wut those nubs on me moto lense were for
Removed that pinlock with much difficulty, thinking it to be a nuisance with yellow blurry vision.😳
Like a mind reader Google algorithm came up with this video and educated me.👍
HAHA! Rtfm.
Now I can die peacefully!
Daylight use only makes it worse. What I'm supposed to do , stop on the roadside, taking my anti fog out if the sun sets?
What do you mean?
@@Strideo1 as a safety issue, cause you are seeing through both layers, it is only recommended to use it during the day. Want to draw it to you?
@@trumpfan2894 If both the visor and the insert are clear then night riding won't be an issue. The only time I could see it being a problem is if the pinlock has a dark tint on it or something.
I use a clear pinlock and a photochromatic visor that gets darker when the sun hits it but everything is clear at night.
@@trumpfan2894 Is English your first language ?
Your comment was ambiguous.
Maybe don't be rude to people until you learn how to construct clear sentences.
pinlock scratch my visor. it's a damn deep scratches
Where are the adjusting pins ??
It’s not my visor that I have the problem with. It’s my glasse
1:31 no I don't see. All I see is the front of the visor. LoL
One the one hand, this video could have been 45 seconds long. As that's the amount of time it would actually take to put a god dam Pinlock visor on your helmet.
On the other hand, she is wearing a tanktop... So 7 minutes feels a bit short...
no explanation of pin either on install or to tension
Definitely, I hate this Pinkock stuff. It makes cleaning the visor a pain and doesn't help the vision...
Doesn’t help the vision? Apparently you’ve never had a visor fog up essentially keeping you from seeing at all. This prevents that at a cost of a little bit of blur and/or interesting light artifacts. It allows me to keep my visor mostly closed helping block cold air on my face and it doesn’t fog up. I’ll take the slight blurriness and light artifacts to cure that problem aspect. Easy to clean, take it off, clean what needs to be. Used it during winter very easily to maintain. Yeah it takes a bit to remove and clean then put it back on. Maybe your expectations are unrealistic. I have needed to clean mine 0 times. The outside of your visor is what gets dirty. If your inside is getting dirty something else is the real problem or you aren’t cleaning it right in the first place before putting it on.
so so bad of me .. when she said "how to reduce fogging" .. i heard a different word .. and thought .. oh lets not haha .. should be ashamed !!
You sell these helmets, which are pinlock-ready, and you don't sell the pinlocks themselves. Can't even buy them - what a strategy. Returning my helmet.
It's such a narrow field of view, the pinlock it's virtually useless.
You are crazy beautiful 😂
Do want a rich husband?
My visor never fogs up but my glasses do
I could sit and listen to this beautiful lady anytime.
