- I make homemade shampoo. Using two different recipes 👩 What is most important in your life? Exodus 20:3
1.) Coconut milk Shampoo
1/4 cup [canned] coconut milk
1/3 cup organic baby shampoo/wash
1 tsp vitamin E, olive or almond oil
20 drops of your choice of essential oils [I used Lavender]
Note: If you experienced a “coated” feeling on your hair; it could be the minerals in your water reacting with the Castile soap. That’s also why most shampoo is made with “detergents,” because detergents aren’t as reactive to minerals in water. In that case use baby shampoo. Of course, detergents contain OTHER ingredients that are less than desirable, but baby shampoos have the least.
2.) Natural Rosemary and Lavender herb infused shampoo. Rosemary is excellent at strengthening and promoting hair growth, and Lavender is great for dry hair.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup boiling water
- 2 tbsp. fresh herbs - soak in water couple hours then strain and add to squeeze bottle along with
- ¼ cup natural soap base
- ½ tsp grapeseed oil
- 20 drops of essential oil [I used 8 lavender, 6 peppermint, 6 lemongrass]
Don’t over shake or it mix will foam up. It might not look like it will foam up but it does similar to commercial brands.
Apple cider vinegar finishing rinse:
1 cup water
2 tbsp. apple cider vinegar mixed together in a spray mister bottle.
Method:
Once hair has been shampooed/rinse, simply spray through hair, then rinse.

Patti I love listening to your nice words of God, I'm about to graduate and I have a professor that is not grading me fairly. It doesn't matter how much work I put into the assignments she always gives me a lower grade. I'm in the honor society for keeping good grades. I do have an accent, I speak another language. But she should grade me for my quality of work not for my accent. I pray God to give me strength and forgive her for what she is doing to me, but it hurts so much and listening to you is a relief to the stress with this professor.

Totally making the shampoo with the coconut nut milk I use the water/ACV mix love it. I add 1c water, 3 Tbsp of AVC and 10 drops of tea tree oil. Love love love it

Instead of castile soap I grate and melt my cold process soap. Then mix with it a can of coconut milk then put it in my favorite shampoo bottle then fill up the bottle the rest of the way with ACV.
Could you list the amount of Castile soap you use and ACV in your mixture?

Thanks! I was shocked on how soft it was and easy to manage. Rick used it and he has that thin fly away hair and it worked real well for him too. But I made a bottle just for him and I used peppermint essential oil; it is suppose to help dry scalp and it also helps you wake up - he showers when he gets up; I like to shower before bed. 🤗💖
Patti Rose Life Happens Rosemary Oil is great for hair support. I use it in my hair by itself when I get out of the shower!

Yes, and depending on your hair type is what determines the oil that's best for you. Castor oil is very good for your hair. The oil is your choice, as long as it is a pure oil. 🙂💕🕊✝

I just tried something and my hair went Curley and it’s shiny and it’s colored.
1 avocado
1/2 Banana
3 squirts Of Dr Bonner’s castle soap and about 3 cups of water 💦 blended it all up. Saved some in a bottle for next time
Went into the shower washed my hair and body.
Wow my skin is soft and so are my Feet.
Most important in my Life is Being thankful to The Lord He has Saved me. Now I want to help others all I can in anyway possible

Kathy Fant, do you need to refrigerate it? What size avocado? Does 3 quirts mean it equaling to about 3 teaspoon ?
72sunrise yes it goes in the Refrigerator what I don’t use. I used it all over my body and it worked great. The 3 squirts were at least a Table spoon 🥄 I am sure.
I need to make some more and the Vinegar rinse was great.

In summer I add a few drops more of peppermint for the cooling effect that happens.
Great idea, but peppermint can also be intense so be sure not to use too much. God bless!

No the apple cider vinegar is the only vinegar you should use. There quite a few oils that blend well with lavender; frankincense, rosemary, geranium... and many more. Thanks for watching, God bless.

So if I already bought the Castile Hemp Peppermint soap, is there anything I can do to make my own shampoo from that? I was just going to add Rosemary and a few other essential oils to it?
Peppermint can be strong. I would dilute it a little more and be sure to do a test spot because peppermint can burn and tingle when applied.

What helps detangle your hair? Is it the vinegar?

Yes, the vinegar helps, but lately I've been putting 3 - 4 drops of Castor oil in an ounce or two of water, giving it a good shake and putting it on my clean rinsed hair and working it in. Don't use much more or your hair will be greasy. But it gives body and shine and also helps with detangling. Hope this helps and God bless! 🤗💕✝🕊

I've never had it go bad before it's gone, the coconut milk must be the full fat coconut milk from a can, not the type in the dairy section. Thanks!😊💖

We just leave it in the shower... and we haven't ever had any issues with it. However my husband washes his hair everyday so we go through it quickly. As for the Apple cider rinse... it can be very beneficial unless you have dry hair. But never directly apply it without deluding it with water. Nice tip at the end things or people can become more important to us than God, such as, idolizing a celebrity, some famous person or something like that; unawares that God has taken side stand in our life. So maybe we need to stay focused on Him, and then maybe everything else will naturally fall into place.

Sandra Copett, No, it must be full fat canned coconut milk... so it gets all the goodness of it but also so it doesn't spoil.

The coconut milk that is in a can used for cooking and baking. It's usually near the canned milk in the grocery store. No the face cream does not need to be refrigerated, however during the hot summer months if you do not have air conditioning you will want to refrigerate it because it will melt back into a liquid form. Oh my... I never thought about that. Maybe just try a small area behind your ear where it isn't seen before doing your whole head. I honestly don't know. White hair is usually drier hair, and you might need more moisture in your shampoo then these can provide. Do a little research first. Sorry I couldn't be more help. 🤗💕✝🕊🌱
