    I use cold process shampoo bars all the time, and I definitely want to give this recipe a try.
    For the hard water in my area, I am going to add some chelators, and since I love scents, I'll add some essential oils too, my favorite being lavender, tea tree, and a tiny bit of mint. 😀

    Thank you for all your lovely tips..... Just curious about PH and it's affects. As now it's like only use PH 5-6

    • @ThermalMermaid
      @ThermalMermaid  Před 2 měsíci

      Ph 5-6 is more acid. A typical bar of soap will be 7 with a leaning toward 8-9…. Are you saying you want 5-6?

      My grandmothers and even some aunts were rinsing their hair with a quart of warm water with a spoon of vinegar in it. Maybe, this is what you can try?

    • @ThermalMermaid
      @ThermalMermaid  Před 2 měsíci

      @_Diana_S Yes a vinegar rinse is a very well known old technique..... The water would probably rinse any acid away from the vinegar and leave you around 7 again. What eve touches you last will be your ph.... its usually water.

    I will definitely try to make this bar, thanks for sharing! How long do you need to cure this bar?

    • @ThermalMermaid

      Two weeks are you’re good…. Four weeks is better.

      @@ThermalMermaid Thanks a lot! I made it today, and it was the first time when i was using my blender for more than 5 min, and the soap was still liquid . Usually i suffer from the opposite problem ). I decided that it has at least emulsified, (not sure if to went to trace,) and poured it into a mold. Will keep it there for a week, just in case. Can't wait to use it. Thanks again!
