    I took an old spice jar and add the hydro peroxide to it...I clean the nozzle with soap and water and then store it in the spice jar until my next enema. I replace the jar mix every 2 weeks or so. I found a flexi 4 foot long brush for drinking water back pack tubes and brush out the silicone tube every 2 weeks... but normally only do boiling water and soap after each use. I really love the tube brush... it cleans it really good and extends the tube life quite a bit. ❤

    I have a couple long plastic containers that I put the attachments including the tubes in after doing an enema, and I use grapefruit seed extract to help disinfect because that's what I saw on another video.
    I don't have that hydrogen peroxide like you have, and the stuff I have that I bought from the drugstore is probably expired by now. But I have white vinegar, though. But it's such a gosh darn hassle at the time, and I was wondering if there was an easier way to clean it than I was doing because I'm so afraid anything's going to touch it afterwards, even bumping it against my door or something after I've cleaned it. After cleaning the tubes, I would hang them over this hanger I attached to the top of my bedroom door with a towel under it, but if it touches the wall or slips on the ground, I have to start over And after a while I'm just like "screw it!" That's about where I am right now, and I just wasn't sure how to clean it _(again!)_ and keep it clean until the next time I'm ready for it!

    • @OliviaBudgen
      @OliviaBudgen  Před 3 lety +3

      White vinegar with some hot/boiling water is fine also ☺️ let it run through the tube then hang to dry. Don’t stress too much about it bumping against the wall etc. No biggie 🙃

      Laaaate reply, but here goes, for posterity.
      There are the fuzzy straw cleaners/pipe cleaner things you can use.
      They are usually no longer than a straw, so maybe try the hardware store where they sell longer ones. It's like a wire with a tiny brush on.
      I suppose you had tried massaging gently on the point where it had the build up and pouring hot water through?

    • @EonsOfReflection
      @EonsOfReflection Před 3 lety +1

      Oh yeah, most importantly strain the coffee as best you can before pouring it in
      And if you see grains at the bottom of the aenema bag as you use it, don't drain it all the way during the use.
      Rather leave some of your coffee on top, before you can go back to refilling it with water and pouring it out straight from the bag rather than through the tube.

    wouldn't hot water make the plastic release toxic additives? my nozzle is made out of PVC and I have been sterilizing it by boiling it for 10 min then it hit me - is this safe? apparently it is not... :( don't know what to do now.

      @@OliviaBudgen r u sure? I’ve herd it can grow on water as it requires oxygen, but not in water. But I’m probably wrong on this. What’s more likely, mould forming in water or in the air? My experience has always been the later. I have found an enema cleaning kit I’ll probably buy. It has a long brush for cleaning and drying the tube. But thanks for your info on this.

And would the cleaning instructions otherwise remain the same...run the vinegar+water through a bit, then clamp and let it stand a bit then release and rinse and dry? Thanks for this very informative video, Olivia. Where I live only 3% medical grade peroxide is available, not food grade. So I need an alternative desperately. Hoping white vinegar works the same :)
