Research has shown that anxiety is directly related to worsening tinnatus. In fact, many people who suffer with T say theirs began during an anxiety crisis. I am one of those people who was being treated for anxiety. When I told my psychiatrist, he said it's the anxiety. He thought it would go away eventually. There are also several videos by researchers who show statistics that T started with anxiety.
Mine also started during a period of chronic stress/anxiety.
Had a one hour apt aug 23. March 24 im in a very good place.
Dr I am a 59-year-old and I have constant ringing in my ears. How do I get rid of the constant buildup of earwax thank you for your time
Great Video!
Yep
I thought that this video was very helpful. After listening to the doctor I realize that I struggle with variable ringing in my brain. I actually have some days when there is no ringing sound at all.. I started keeping track of those days on my calendar I circle the date and I can look back throughout the week to see how many days my brain ringing was silent. This makes me hopeful. Last week there were five days with no ringing. When there is ringing I continue to look at the circled dates on my calendar and remember that there are more coming. I am one of the few people that has pulsatile ringing in one ear and regular tinnitus in the other. I also wish that people would stop using the term "my tinnitus". You don't own it and I'm sure you don't want it either. As the doctor pointed out it's important to think about the words we use when describing our situation. I feel it's okay to think of discouraging thoughts but not to say them out loud as our subconscious is always listening to us. Force yourself to say something helpful like yesterday was a good day.
Thankyou 👍🏻⭐⭐
I took Zoloft. It helps you relax and calm the ears but when I took it I couldn’t drive or do anything I was a blob
How long did you take it for and what happened with your tinnitus after you stopped? Sounds like you did. Thanks
