A friend of mine has a state of the art laptop that is stuffed to the gills with all the emulators and the games available for them. He spends a lot of time on trains, planes and automobiles, and he says his laptop is his lifeline to sanity. 😂

I think the entitled woman was a terrible mother, to her son, not just to this man who happened to be a father. However it's a good thing that the entitled woman finally grew up and started to behave like a completely responsible adult. I hope she will be a better mother to her son, from now on.

I know this is an old post, but I take two things to read, but they're designed to help me find "my people". I take comic books, preferably a less popular character, and I take economics books. When it comes to the type of parents that the OP in Story number four has, my family are similar in some ways. And those ways are that all my life no matter who I dated they would almost always find something negative to say either about the girl I'm dating at the time or any of their friends. She could literally be the most elusively perfect person on this entire planet and it would STILL, somehow, find something negative to say about them.

Id have sued and pressed charges no matter what. Karen needed to be taught a lesson.
Charges:
Willful Destruction of Property. Im guessing with all the games and the graphics and processing power needed to play them, the laptop was likely worth way over $1000, let alone $200. Theft or destruction of property worth more than $200 is a Felony where I live. Punishable by 18 months to 5 years prison, $5000 fine, restitution or all of the above.
Though one cannot guarantee sentencing I'd highly recommend to the prosecutor Karen get the maximum sentence, no time served applied, day-for-day, no parole and indefinite monitored probation when she gets out. Make an example of this Karen and maybe its not too late for the kid to learn seeing his mom locked up for her entitled behavior.
When she gets to prison, a week or two in General Population will teach her entitled behavior will get her wig split at best, stabbed at worst and that people can and do get stabbed for less in there.

I had to restart my like at 35 after 15 years of marriage. It was really really hard. Lots of tears and heartache but it's been 2 years and I'm much MUCH happier. He did a lot of mental health damage to me and I am now on multiple meds for my 7 mental health diagnoses. BUT it was worth the hurt of getting out

In the second story I can relate rn, my bf tho has had one job and we don't live together I refuse to until he gets a job but he is still being disrespectful towards my family and I have tried to break up with him once already. I've known him for about 7 years. We have been on and off for the last few years. And we have been together for about a year and month now

stuff that i am petty asf, i would've sued her to oblivion in small claims court and than used the security footage and gotten witnesses to testify on my behalf, i would've also been recording the Karen secretly so i could use it as evidence and make sure they would pay for emotional damages, the full cost of repairs of the laptop and made sure they regretted their entitlement and given them a huge dose of reality and made them snap awake.

One nitpick on the second story. There's nothing that says she'll have to stop working when the baby comes. Women did work and had babies for thousands of years before maternity leave existed. It's a nice thing, but let's not act like a new mother is an invalid.
There are plenty of reasons the guy should work. Really, she should never have moved in with someone who was unemployed and knew for less than a year.
