Our Fairy Godmother-Furniture-Flipper transforms two tired 80's end tables into modern, Anthropologie- inspired duped boho chic pieces worthy of our modern princess. By using paint wash and sanding techniques, we can create a faux black charred wood effect. Add in a Folk patterned transfer from Redesign with Prima, and these two unwanted 80's tables will stun you with their transformation. Skills and techniques include: cleaning, sanding, paint washing, painting, sealing, transferring.

You were my Fairy God Mother, this time! Validation and inspiration, that’s what you did for me. I, as being so very new to this furniture flipping business also worked on matching end tables. They took me such a very long time, I thought it was just me. I very seriously thought about taping off the bottom shelves like that. I was losing patience at that point and didn’t think it would cost more time for not taping the edges… You validated my concern when you said, after all, there were two of them.

If I did nothing else as a furniture re-designer...I was going to figure out SOMETHING to do with that ugly-as-sin brown glass from the 80's!! 😂😂 I have to say - I was also stunned at how it transformed even before I added the transfer, just up against the black paint and black "stain"...totally shifted the look. OMG I cannot believe this! I am sitting here literally trying figure out how to change my pair of end tables that someone was kind enough to gift to me but they are SO out dated. I started looking around on line but everyone flipping out dated end tables had at least end tables with some character and curves or something to work with. I don't have that. I have thick squared short glass topped end tables..... I have these EXACT same end tables YOU have in this video! I am so freaking excited right now!!!! Thank you! I mean what were the odds to find someone flipping the same exact VERY out dated end tables a few weeks before me and making a video on how to do it??? I am feeling so lucky right now!!! Love what you did with these adorable little tables. My grandmother had some of those, exactly, and a matching coffee table. My Mom gave them to the Goodwill when my Grandma passed.
I do believe there is just as much paint on you as there is on the tables. I love you enthusiasm for what you do. You and your daughter should consider joining your local theater group.
