I really love what you did! My favorite is the hanging light, for sure! Actually I love all of it together. The light with the hanging florals reminds me of what they used to do in the Middle Ages at Holiday time, when they would hang tree bows of fir and pine with holly branches and mistletoe, from the ceiling on a wooden frame. I don’t think lights were involved but I’m sure my ancestors in England would have loved that! Having your family and the cats and dog in on it was an extra special treat! First of all, I missed "Dahling." However, what you did in this room with so little, and especially without killing yourself, is remarkable. The stand-out moment is the trellis/chandelier but the curtains are the real heros. They made all that wood (of a similar color) make sense. Your guests should be bolled over with this room. Just add some great background music. Or not as your guests might be so mesmerized, they'll never leave. BRAVO!

I love your work and your personality. You are beautiful and your daughters look so much like you, beautiful! I enjoyed the transformation of this boring room to a glamorous and festive one! You had so many items, like the mirrors, that just needed some love to pop. You all did amazing work. But my favorite thing about this video is the help your teenaged daughters offered you! I have a teenaged daughter and I totally understand how can a joined task be actually quality time! I love the cane lighting, the colors of the cushions and the coniac drape. I will be happy this year just to have my family! House isn’t really finished yet, but getting there! We have a table. The flooring is in the walls and trim are painted, we have light! Our stove is in the garage still lol. We used to set up our family room with tables- 3 long ones! But we have too much stuff there right now lol..(we didn’t have to tear that part down but we stuffed a lot of furniture and totes in there.) super enjoyed this so much I needed this for motivation!

Word of warning. I covered my dining room chairs with a velvet fabric. It was beautiful, dark blue with gold fleur de lis. BUT cat hair really, REALLY, sticks to it. I just recovered those chairs (after 25 years), but chose a different fabric that cat hair slides right off. I got the fabric at a store that sells remnants for very low price (about $3/yard). Chairs don't need much fabric to cover them.

So great job but I have to say this video made me absolutely sob. This whole situation reminds me so much of what my house used to be a few years ago. Crazy cats, goofy teens at home, crazy mom projects and stories while getting ready for the full family holiday events. Both of my kids age 22 and 24 are now out in their own apartments and working crazy hours so they won’t be home for thanksgiving. I’m being relocated for work so our beautiful home of 20 years is going on the market soon so no holidays at my house this year. Absolutely LOVE and cherish every minute of your family! Wishing you all the best!

Your story about getting stuck in a chair frame took me right back to the early 80’s…I didn’t listen to my Mamaw, and sat down in an old straight back wooden chair…that was rotted…and though I was a scrawny preteen, I was heavy enough to go right through the old slatted seat. To this day, I have a set of lovely matching scars - one on either hip - where the rusty nails that once held said seat…ended up lodged in mine… it was painful, and I had to be lifted out , get a tetanus shot, etc., but I also have a funny story. 😁

You are so artistic. The icing on the whole thing would be kitty center pieces. They would provide the entertainment. And your lamp shade is sold out. I tried to get one after your last video. I was so sad. Love it to pieces.
