Dehydrated Cranberries No Sugar. One Easy fast way to dehydrate your fresh cranberries. From frozen , sliced and onto dehydrator. 14 hours later and completed in the Cabella's Dehydrator. Some take longer then others. no sugar added , wanted or needed. A healthy dried cranberries recipe.

oh hun.. yes you do. if you can? do try and shoot for one with a temp control. that way your getting the benefits of dehydrating your foods which is why we do it right? other wise? your loosing good nutrition. Roland at getting it done north of 7 picked up a great one in a walmart i believe? very reasonably priced. i was floored.
Thank you for the video. I am doing this for the first time and will copy you. I dehydrate lots of things, but never thought of cranberries. I do herbs, meat, garlic and turmeric, etc.
I also love to see someone besides myself who is not scared do a lot of hand work. I spend the time de-seeding pomagranates for pomagranate molasses, peeling chic peas for hummus, and cutting and chopping everything with a knife rather than use electric equipment. It is therapy.
Your cranberry colors are amazing and YES, you were quite hopeful but I agree, well worth the time and effort

I have some cranberries in my freezer...you make me want to dehydrate them and make more room in my freezer. They also look pretty in the jar!

Hmmn, I will have to try this for use in teas. I have some that I was going to use for juice but this might be a great option.
tea, salads, sweet breads, cookies,meat sauces, a wee handful as a snack.. this stuff is a must here for us... i need to fill that jar lol
Those look so good that they made my teeth tingle and I slobbered all down my shirt. I do have to say that I am a little disappointed in Andy not using the man tool to help cut the cranberries. I thought that was the only tool a kitchen needs??? 😉😂🤣🙃 Merry Christmas to the Paige Family Homestead!

Dried cranberries are wonderful, you're so lucky that you can buy them fresh there to dry or to use however you like.. Here we can only buy small bags of frozen cranberries which cost a fortune, canned or small bags of pre-dried. Wishing you and Andy a safe and merry Christmas. ❤🎄👍
it must not be cost effective to transport fresh to your end of the world.. at least you can get the dried and even re-hydrate . you can still do all recipes using them that way. but i hear you. i'd be upset if we didn't have access to fresh.. and i fear those times are a coming

Merry Christmas Peggy and Andy! I love watching your videos! The cranberries remind me of one of my favourite Christmas memories. My Mom makes homemade cranberry sauce and strawberry jam. She accidently pulled out the jam for our Christmas dinner. My Grandpa just loved her cranberry sauce and then we figured out what she had done LOL

Thats probably why they were strung on string to open the skin ;) hang them around the fire to dry

It's took 4 days without cutting them...I wanted to see what they would look like and how long. I agree with you Peggy, cut them in half and the taste is the same as the whole ones...but much quicker.

Peggy they look so good! I want to do them soon. Why did you freeze them? Was it because you didn't want to dehydrate them that same day?
When you freeze? And thaw? It helps then dehydrate FASTER . The cranberries are plump and fruit tender from being frozen. When you cut from fresh? Its hard. The fruits pores are tight...takes longer and the end results not nearly as nice.

I stuck some in the freeze dryer and it took 3 days and they still didn't get done. So I put them in the dehydrator. I'M not sure how I'm going to use them. So I can not wait to see how you use them.
so they got double banged lol.. how i use mine? literally? grab a handful as a snack.. wee handful into breakfast oatmeal, or into a coffee cake or in with a banana bread or muffins.. or i've one friend that enjoys making tea with a few..they are AMAZING in a salad.. even to pimp up a choc-chip cookie.. where can't we use them? lol
