  • I am cutting out most of the processed foods my family has been eating for years and now I am making foods homemade and with love.
"Craisins" You can use Fresh or Frozen Cranberries
Clean, remove any bad cranberries and cut each cranberry.
*I did this with a knife for some batches and the food processor for others. Both ways work.
Add 2 cups sugar and 2 cups water to a large pot and bring to a boil
*put the cranberries in the boiling liquid for 45-60 seconds at most. This coats the cranberries and allows them to be a bit softened as well
*Toss each batch with a bit of sugar. I sprinkled about 1Tablespoon of sugar on each batch of cranberries that I boiled
Place sticky cranberries on parchment lined dehydrator tray or parchment lined baking sheets (if dehydrating in the oven)
    *dehydrate 135ºF 24-30 hours in a dehydrator-flip around the 12 hour mark
*dehydrate on lowest oven temperature - stir every 30 -60 minutes
**To test if you like the texture. Let some of the "Craisins" cool for 5 minutes and taste. Keep dehydrating if you feel they are still to wet/sticky
**Remove from parchment and freeze for an hour or two. Keep in freezer for months or in refrigerator for a month.
