I like your videos keep up the good work and don’t pay attention to these haters out here you can only get better with time a practice. Your showing the painting community that it is possible to break the rules and extend the boundaries of a unit the Fuji manufacturers even doubted was possible on their own machine. These companies keep pushing newer unit down our throats with heavy price tags when the original smaller units are very capable. I have even fallen for the bs and purchased every model Fuji sells to find that’s there is not much of a difference between the semi pro2 or the mini mite 3 vs mini 4 or the q5 it’s all about thinning the paint correctly and technical skill. So keep showing us what these units can do in the real world 😊

i have the minimite 5 turbine, that helps break up the clear for a flatter finish. Your distance is perfect and the base and pearl lays smooth.
I would like to get my hands on a mini mite 5 in the future. I did some research and found some guys using the semi pro 2 with great results. I’m painting a Mitsubishi eclipse gsx soon. We will see how well it lays a premium high solids clear next week. I may use a splash of reducer because this smr42 clear is thick.
Yessir 5% will do the job. I reduce the smr42 always. And it flashes slower than generic 2:1 clears. But it typically flows well

I use a turbine for my setup as well. The titan capspray…I have used mine for 15 years and love it!
Wow no overspray? I've noticed turbine jobs always have more peel but if it can be cut and buffed its good for garage paint jobs. That's a nice pearl effect 👍
Overspray is minimal and I have a 12 inch axial fan installed in the wall with an EPA filter and it does a great job clearing the garage.
Ive been thinking of buying a turbine simply due to way less overspray,but i was under the impression that a4 or 5 stage shouldbe used for 2k ,looks like the 2 stage could be a possiblity given the prices of these units,flat and polishing but like i said way less overspray for home use,great job .

Im still waiting for someone to post a list i can screenshot either in the description or for a few seconds during the video.
And just like a recipe- one list for necessary ingredients so you know what to order / buy, especially for beginners
And one list for instructions.
For example:
Etcher
Primer
This Paint ×2
THAT paint ×1
Sand paper
Water bottle
Stirring sticks
Rags / paper towels / 91% alcohol
(Stuff that may seem obvious to some but wont be to beginners)
And then directions, like:
1) sand with this grit
2) clean
3) etch
4) prime (times 4 coats or until ....)
5) sand with that grit
6) clean with that stuff
7) spray this stuff

I mean, especially when dude has his whole process recorded, he could easily write down what he did and what he used in order.
And that would realy help people, up the views and likes too.

I’ve got the same similar gun, if you google. But it is made by Apollo anb300 and I’ve got the 1.3 tip and 0.8 I’m going to try high solids clear with the 0.8

Think if you adapt black widow 2 automotive gun to turbine would come out a bit better. There's an adapter to connect to turbine line to auto hvlp gun. Give a try
That sounds like a cool idea, this gun is designed to run at 5 psi with my system so it would be interesting to see what happens. Thanks.

Speedokote basecoat binder. It’s a clear basecoat that mixes 4:1

Great job on the video…I would speed some of the video up though. I enjoy watching the whole thing, only because I have painted for years, but some people have a very short attention span.
Painfully slow and that's pearl not candy.. I like the idea of a turbine and although it did a decent job laying out the pearl I hate cutting and buffing and I'm a fast piece painter so unfortunately it's not for me
