      Thank you for that. I needed a channel like this when I was looking for more information about this bike. All I found were just great reviews and how fast it is, but no real honest reviews on good and bad points.
      I hope someone looking to get this bike or add certain accessories to their bike watches these videos to help them make a decisions. I always watch reviews on things I want to add . Mostly , I like real life honest reviews from owners.

      I hope my video's can help you make that final decision. I think you will love the bike, it is more than what I ever expected.
      Commuting is real nice due to the slender profile of this bike. It is real agile, it moves around traffic nicely. Just be carful of that Sport Mode. It is too jerky in my opinion in tight traffic.

    Enjoyed the Q/A. Ethanol is what those machines dislike. Been riding since 1969 and was the 1st thing I installed "windscreen" (Puig makes a nice one) and I believe it is the height and why the wind. Hmmmmmmmmmm, you never mention Race mode which is where I leave mine. Yes, footpegs are the best helmet hanger.

    I'm ~ 6'1" and when I sat on the bike in the showroom I could comfortably flat-foot. How many inches lower is the seat you're now using. The reason I ask is because I can see where the dip is a better feature for riding than the plank. #2 About a week and a half ago I watched a video about gasoline and the conclusion is that name-brand ones tend to contain more detergents than the brand X ones, so they better in the long run. Where I live, Shell and Chevron are eye-waveringly expensive, but for a 16 liter tank it is probably going to avoid throttle body gunk in the long term. Thanks for explaining your take on bar-end mirrors; they widen a bike too much in city/congested traffic situations and defeat the plus of lane-splitting. I'm a drive-by-mirror rider. #3 - Why did you select AR over other brands such as SC? Did you make a how-to video about the throttle spacers? Your calm measured voice makes these videos excellent to view.

    • @myhypermotard8351
      @myhypermotard8351  Před 3 lety +4

      I believe the seat is about 1/2 incn to 3/4, of an inch lower. It's not much but really notice the difference because of the dip. It is softer and more comfortable for sure.
      I will be making a video on the differences on both seats since I keep get questions on that.
      True , clean gas makes a difference over time.
      The last thing I want to do is to widen the bike by putting on mirrors that vibrate too much anyways. They do look cool though..
      The reason I selected the Austin exhaust is because I really like the sound they make. I almost got the SC but after I heard the Austin exhaust, I was in love with the Deep sound they make.
      I wish I would have been making videos back when I put the throttle spacers on. There are many videos out there on how to install them. It is actually pretty easy to do.
      Thank you for the positive feed back, I really do appreciate that. My intentions on these videos are to provide people with more information about this bike. Something I couldn't find when I was looking to buy this bike. All I found were about how great the bike was. It was hard to find an honest owner that took time to go into details about the good and bad aspects of this bike.

      @@sdnlv To be honest, I ride with earplugs all the time to avoid ear damage . If you ride without earplugs, I agree, it is loud. Then again many exhaust are too loud when ridding without earplugs. I use them for protection from the wind and also for the exhaust sound, my world becomes much quieter using earplugs. So riding long distances has never been a problem. I also listen to music to get into a good ridding mood, it is peaceful and relaxing, almost like a zen thing..

Trust me on this, the damage is permanent and causes some real bad problems with your eardrums, to the point of constant nausea and ringing in the ears needing medication for the rest of your life. All because of the wind frequency at high speeds.

    Hows the lowered seat on the SP? Because at my local dealership they said it barely makes any difference. So I went on the Ducati website and it says I lowers it by 20mm which then will be 870mm as the standard Hypermotard

    • @myhypermotard8351
      @myhypermotard8351  Před 2 lety +1

      To be honest, I was told the same thing that it wouldn’t make a difference. Well , it’s the best thing I ever did for feeling better at stops. That small difference makes a huge difference when you go from tips of toes to ball of foot on the ground. I can’t even imagine going back to the stock seat.
      Another thing is that the lowered seat is a bit softer and is more plush, probably making it lower after break in.
      I highly recommend it.

      I don’t remember where I got the throttle spacers? You can get them from many different websites, just make sure they are for Ducati bikes. Probably best to call them to ask them.
      The AR , I got from the Austin Racing website. I did this because I didn’t want any other potential imitations which is possible these days. It took a while to get them but well worth the wait.

      @@myhypermotard8351 Old comment but just a heads up octane doesn’t mean anything to anyone living outside the US as there’s multiple ways to calculate octane.
      In the US, 91 is premium. In some parts of europe, 95 is standard and 99 is premium. In some places 93 is standard 97 is premium. All depends on the calculation method, so it’s easiest to just say if it’s considered premium or not, and the ethanol content (likely 0%)
