They wanted to roast Bert alive for the finger licking and food touching so badly (who wouldn't?). And they would have under almost any other circumstance.
Probably why Bert pays for these big trips for 3 of the coolest comics in the scene. I've met people like this. They act super super nice and generous, but it's manipulation to make you spend time with them and feel like you owe them kindness, at bare minimum. Plus, Bert probably thinks he looks cool because they're around him.
I really hate manipulation. You can't ever unsee it after being the victim of it.

Mark Normand is the most unappreciated guest on every podcast. Dude just constantly dropping lines and nobody reacting to him. It’s the best. Shane is funnier in stand up but Mark is a god at riffing and one liners
