They way he makes his bits so approachable like he’s just bullshitting with you and not on a stage is great. The guy had people laughing at everything, trans, trump, school shootings. A good comedian for sure
He often digs himself into a grave and almost gets out of it in a brilliant fashion yet he doesn't mind hanging on to the uncomfortable nature of his comedy. What a tremendous special.
I saw him in Philly right after the snl drama. He totally owned all of it in such a hysterical way - he's a master at using that discomfort to his advantage.
I might be the only one to notice this but nick mullen made this joke before this special. Hopefully just similar ideas cause I think Shane is a great comedian.
@@liammagin8642 you're going to have to link something for proof, but I'll let you in on a little secret: the material people use for a special isn't a one and done, first night only time, set. Comedians use the same material, sometimes for years and years. Filming a special is actually usually the retirement for these jokes, as now everyone can just see them online instead of getting to reuse them every weekend in some random city. All that to say, with no knock to Shane, that premise could be years old...especially with no pop culture references and just a standalone joke.
I saw his impersonation of Pres Trump on Gutfield recently. I just watched this comedian. Thank you for posting this. This guy is hilarious and speaks from a good heart. What pure fun that was listening and watching. I wish him continued success and a long and great career
I think Sam Morrill " I got this" stands up, the guy is an amazing joke writer. I also like Sean Patton Scuttlebutt, that's a straight existential experience. It's an album, not a special.
Agree. He actually reminds me of norm and I know Norm enjoyed Shane's comedy which is just about the highest compliment for a comedian if Norm Macdonald likes you
My special needs son once participated in a special needs basketball game. It was the funniest, best, most wholesome thing ever. My kid was passing the ball to kids on the other team and celebrating with them when one made a basket. Watching a special needs kid celebrate is an amazing experience. They have total wild abandon. No self consciousness to temper their joy. It is the best.❤❤
My brother with Down Syndrome has played a lot of Adaptive Football, but his games are absolutely hilarious. He hates playing defense and destroys on offense, one time he decided he was tired of defense, rotated around the line of scrimmage and got the opposing center to snap him to ball which he then ran for a touchdown against his own team.
Best special i have ever seen in the last few years, if not all time. May not be the legendary/ingenious notch at all times but subtly great the entire time.

@@lennylennington in almost every school there is always one person who thinks they can communicate with animals. meaning they feel like they have special powers, and trust me... they SWEAR up and down they can talk to a specific species of animal..hers just happened to be a horse so he made the horse sound just for extra comedic effect, and also like she was trying to warn the rest of the kids danger was approaching. .....did I explain it good enough for ya bro?? I did my best. 😅
The worst thing about this special is that IT'S NOT ENOUGH! I need at least another hour of this. Fucking killed it! Can't wait until the next one!
Yeah. Release the B roll Shane! Release the cut bits on Patreon! We’re going to ask until the end of time just like we demanded The Old Testament back.
Isn’t the worst bit about this special the editing? Shane’s great but I popped an anti histamine to get through
When it ended I said to myself “who puts out a 15 min special?” Time really does fly when ur having fun.
buy tickets and see him in person
@@CharlieCoops yeah it's definitely not the best but I bet this will get the ball rolling in his favor for a bigger special.
I can watch countless hours of this brilliant guy. I need more specials!!! Like One every year at least :)
might be the best gig in the past decade. i hope we get more of this
That “Roll Tide” bit gets me so good every single time 😂😂😂😂😂
They way he makes his bits so approachable like he’s just bullshitting with you and not on a stage is great. The guy had people laughing at everything, trans, trump, school shootings. A good comedian for sure
Shane is hilarious without being offensive
Roll tide brother ✊
The way he says "hwhite" is on point
Go Dawgs
So proud of this guy. Shoutout to the Old Testament listeners
Bring back the prank calls!
From night cast's to his own CZcams special, it's been a wild journey.
Dude I want the shit cast to come back
Them spooky paytch episodes sprung me from the depths of TS porn lol
I forget the name of the episode where Matt says the "Madea goes to space" line.
I've seen clips, but never watched this in it's entirety until now. My god, my face hurts. I was belly laughing more often than not.
Just finished watching this for my 6th or 7th time now. I will forever love this special ❤
'John Cena is the angel of death for those guys' - That shit is fucking HILARIOUS
I literally cried laughing at that bit!
"he's takin' SOULS with em"
@@kggregorie 🤣🤣🤣
And so fucking true!
That shit had me in tears
He often digs himself into a grave and almost gets out of it in a brilliant fashion yet he doesn't mind hanging on to the uncomfortable nature of his comedy. What a tremendous special.
Reminds me of Louis ck in that way
I saw him in Philly right after the snl drama. He totally owned all of it in such a hysterical way - he's a master at using that discomfort to his advantage.
You don’t think I can get out of this sir?
Perfect description 👌
OMG, I was literally repeating RollTide in my head when you repeated it!! That was my hardest laugh yet!! 🔥 And I had been laughing a lot already!
Thank you Shane I needed something to laugh at to make me feel better I already seen this 3 times and it's still hilarious
Shane Gillis, first player/coach of the Special Olympics, true American hero.
Basically Prime Deion Sanders
@@mattallan6338 "problem time" shane gillis
Hahahaha
Baaahahahajahaha
He's a real human bean
“You’re not hungry NOW, but a cheeseburger can cut you off on the highway”😂😂😂 man he deserves the recognition he’s getting
Agreed! The Fox dad /black church bit was so damn funny too.
@@mad1337nes !! Dropped some knowledge on that man! Can’t wait to see Shane’s next set
Killer tag to that joke. He's pretty epic.
Watched this like 4-5 times now what a great special!
I saw his impersonation of Pres Trump on Gutfield recently. I just watched this comedian. Thank you for posting this.
This guy is hilarious and speaks from a good heart. What pure fun that was listening and watching. I wish him continued success and a long and great career
I think this is the only hour of standup I've ever watched more than twice.
me too shane is great!
Just watched it for the 3rd time. It only stinks when it ends. Shane Gillis #1
Same my homie
On my third watch now lol
I think Sam Morrill " I got this" stands up, the guy is an amazing joke writer. I also like Sean Patton Scuttlebutt, that's a straight existential experience. It's an album, not a special.
Especially after the passing of Norm, it’s refreshing to know there is more special talent coming down the pipe.
Yes this lump of coal has potential
When Shane was getting the shit kicked out of him by the whole world Norm showed support for Shane publicly. What a sweetie. R.i.p Norm
Glad he still understands comedy some others should take note
Agree. He actually reminds me of norm and I know Norm enjoyed Shane's comedy which is just about the highest compliment for a comedian if Norm Macdonald likes you
Dude yes. I haven't laughed so hard in almost 2 years
this guy is hilarious. thanks for making him more accessible to us.
This is my 2023 discovery… I can’t wait to see more of this dude this year as well… he is really good…
My special needs son once participated in a special needs basketball game.
Hahahaha so good bro 😂😂😂😂
🇬🇧👍❤️
Love this comment…just pure love and joy in the court
thats beautiful
🎉 what did I just read? I mean..
This legit got me laughing lol
The fucking GOAT! Dudes a legend!
that boy grew up to be Rob Gronkowski
True dawg
Live for the game.
LOOOOVE THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Way to be Shane..... still enjoy it to this day.
Best special i have ever seen in the last few years, if not all time. May not be the legendary/ingenious notch at all times but subtly great the entire time.
“I think they’re letting one coach”😂. Whole thing was killer, well done Shane
Too funny
“That’s a smart run” has to be one of the funniest, most understated lines in this 😂
lmao i thought the same thing
that shit killed me
Intelligent play vs athletic play. 😂 Bill Burr has a good bit about that. Shane just slides that little gem in there. 😂😂😂
😂😂😂 hilarious and when he talks about growing into being republican is genius ...
@@bjjones6692no for real that shit was like a revelation first time I heard him say it. Like how that this shit is fucking accurate it CRAZY
Shane has been my favorite comedian since I found out about his podcast, I love seeing him blow up he really deserves it. My favorite bits are always when he talks about his dad 😂 you can tell he really loves Phil. DAWGZ🤙🏾
I think he’s the best comic ever. The way he delivers stuff is just perfect
Shane's delivery is so good, I love his honesty and disarming style. I've watched this 4 times and still laugh constantly.
It’s more raw, too! More personable in a club than a huge theatre.
He’s just the right mixture of stupid and intelligent to be hilarious 😂
@@johnflaherty810 huge theaters suck for comedy, I’ve been to two shows at theaters and it’s not the same experience.
Def funny and def an alcoholic in the making if not already there. Js
just finished my 3rd watch and it's honestly gotten better and funnier with each viewing. Shanes becoming one of my favorite comedians. This will definitely be in my rotation of sets I revisit every so often but I'm already pumped for some more material. I'm kinda sad that it's over, I almost feel like starting it from the beginning now. Fantastic work
Shane keeping his friends at the start, Love this guy.
Shout out to the dawgz
I just lost my mother , and this special really made me laugh. Thank you. I really needed this .She’s probably around here somewhere….i should try calling her phone ..
His comments about Downs and autism are awesome. There’s a guy that works at food lion I don’t care how bad your day is his energy, attitude, and just over joy for life. It awesome seeing you no matter who you are or if he’s met he gives you a high five or a hug talks to you it makes the day better.
Hitters after hitters. It doesn’t stop. Shane is a legend this is the funniest thing I’ve seen in years
@Comedy Clan lol
huge congrats. It was so so funny..
It was really funny but this is the funniest i have seen since mark normands special
@@herbythechef7624 I really really like Sam Morril- I got this
@@herbythechef7624 Marc Normand is the man.
He’s got the same magic rhythm as Louie. He makes it seem like anyone can do it.
I also thought of Louis CK while watching this…excellent performance.
Yes! So true
And the same ability to deliver foul jokes and make them hilarious!! This guy's destined to comedy greatness without a fucking doubt.
Yes 100%. I've seen enough Louie to sense the same sort of comedy 🤣 I didn't know much about Shane, until the SNL thing, but he's been killing it on podcasts, and this is amazing, and I'm only 9 minutes in 😂😂
Just wrote the same exact thing. He’s like a slightly more conservative and honestly less explicit Louis. I’m pretty picky about stand up and don’t watch it because they suck compared to my favorites, but damn Shane killed it.
I’ve seen this entire thing many times already and still wanna come back. Instant classic!
I've watched this like 20 times and will easily watch it another twenty. Every time it puts a smile on my face. Please come back to Aus
