How I miss the 2000s. The varied quality of tennis players (Hewitt, Roger, Nalbandian, Davydenko, Roddick, Safin, etc) and Federer at a supreme level. Today there are very few tennis players who match that level of that time.

Resembles an updated version of some Sampras/Chang matches. Hewitt was basically a better Chang. He had many strengths, the only deficiency being insufficient power. What's often not mentioned - an underrated part of his game - is his volley. Hewitt has shown finesse at the net. One of the fastest players ever. As for Roger, brilliant though he was, one could see even here how prime Nadal and Djokovic would have taken advantage of his loopy backhand shot, the ball frequently landing in the middle of the court.

Certainly better than the 2018-22 competition. Atleast it had a healthy Nadal. Now a days ..... Tommy Paul , Rudd, Kyrgios , Noorie ..... Going in Slams SF, Finals ...... And look at the guy like Zverev ..... Who won only 1 match against a top 10 payer in his entire career till date and has been ranked in Top 10 for the last 5 years. Djokovic is the major benefactor of this weak era ...... Look at his grass competition.
