How to turn off the Daytime Running Lights on 1997-2005 Chevy Astro/GMC Safari Vans

- Just a short video on how to turn off the running lights on a the 97-05’ Astro or GMC safari.
I’m not sure on earlier models. I’ve only owned these years.
These lights annoy me so I thought there may be others that are annoyed by these and wanna turn em off on their vans.

I’ve done this process before and it was nice then the next time I used it I realized they had gone right back on. So it feels like I would have to do this every time I turn on my van
All I had to do is pull out fuse 15 which is the daytime running light diode and all my other lights work fine now and the headlights don't stay on annoyingly. Makes it really really difficult to completely go dark if you so choose. But not now now I can drive without my headlights on by my choice alone

They come back on automatically every time you start the van
You can just press the emergency brakes on 2001 astro...but my question is ..how to delete them keeping off while you drive..???
I have to do this every time I drive the van. If someone knows a way to keep them off I’d be grateful
@@idjchance There is but let me do it on my side first...that you can select the headlamp switch when ever u need..DRL makes the bulbs run faster a day close to be burn out.quicker

don't work on mine. All of a sudden this is the second time I've had this occur ever with this van where the headlights turn on automatically with the key getting put onto the on position I have never ever had this issue with the damn headlights and just all of a sudden they start doing it I swear I'm being Mandela affected last time I had this issue I found the fuse for the dtl but then the next day no joke that few slot was not there there was no copper prongs in that thing and there was no thing on the sticker saying that that's what it was. I know that there are manipulating reality it might seem kind of out there like I'm a little cuckoo or something but I s*** you not.
