Before I moved into a patio home, I always had a cut flower garden. I loved having fresh flowers available right outside my back door. The raised beds are a great idea and one I would like to do here. Thanks for the wonderful idea! Enjoy spring and summer with your beautiful family.

Kailyn, love your outdoor ideas! Just wanted to share a tip with ya- add some landscape fabric on the ground where your planter boxes and AC Unit is. This will help keep out weeds. Then, top with your pea gravel. I did this years ago at our old house and it worked so well keeping out weeds. Beautiful backyard area!

Looks so nice. If there is enough space,maybe you might consider a round water feature in the middle of your four raised beds? That way you could do a potting station by the home. You could do round stone or galvanized round tub, or even 1/2 a barrel of some sort. Just some ideas for thought.Enjoy watching the progress.

I’m a flower person to. They look Great.
We have a large multi-level deck on the back of our house. The largest section is under roof with a porch swing and comfy furniture. It is an extra room from June-September……for eating, grilling and relaxing…..PS. We have three large ceiling fans and the deck is on the North side of the house, so it is comfortable in even the hottest weather.

It's beautiful and I love the baby hammock, BUT you will need to clean your environment for dear life, with all of that beautiful open land. I wish you all the best, but you do have your work, cut out for you. it's all worth it in the end.

Hi Kailyn! I love those concrete-looking planters! I'm going to head to the Walmart store about 25 minutes from me tomorrow and see if they have any....our local Walmart does not carry them. Fingers crossed I find them! I'm going to have to replace some of my larger pots as they have cracked. I'm ready to replace them anyway as they are just too heavy to move around. The resin ones are the way to go. I found a beautiful one that is circular by Studio McGee but it was $60. So they can get pretty pricey so that was a good deal from Walmart! They really did a good job this year with their planter selections! Your outdoor area looks beautiful! I also want to get a plant station with a potting table but in Wisconsin it would be difficult to leave outside during the winter and to haul it to the basement, well that's not ideal either. The raised beds look great! How beautiful that will be when everything starts to bloom!

Very nice porch but fyi...you should never enclose your air conditioning unit. It needs 3 ft. of ventilation on all sides or it can corrode coils & burn up your compressor.
