GREAT styling and my favorite was the DIY pillows and being generous with the plants for atmosphere
You are SO relatable!! Fantastic baskets for lights. Excellent.
SEW a 12" band of crisp black cotton duck, outdoor fabric, to your curtains. They should hit 2 mm above the floor, kiss the air above the floor.
"I got a patio set and I didn't get murdered." So funny, you looking in my head? Really NICE sectional!
Love the rug, and, it's big enough!! Yay!!
Hang both baskets; hang the smaller one lower. Also, you could "dip paint" one of them -- say two or three inches of pure thick cream paint on the bottom edge of the basket/shade.
You COULD paint the smaller ome a super DARK blue (Newburyport Blue, Benj. Moore -- it's nearly black), or super dark forest green, or augergine!! Or black.
Ok, one more thing: You need to deeply water your plants -- put all the pots in a plastic tray w 2 inches of water for 2 hrs. Let them drink from the bottom draimage hole(s) up.
Once a week, unless 100 degrees, then water that day, too.
Add SLOW RELEASE FERTILIZER to each planter PER PKG INSTRUCTIONS, quarterly, OR 10-10-10 or 15-15-15 (balanced) fertilizer, diluted to half stremgth, once every 3-4 waterings.
I can't. It looks amazing!! You did such an incredible job! your mulan moment was such a gem. That's one of my favorite sound tracks for sure!
The pillows!!! Such a simple DIY that I would have never thought of. They look amazing!
Hope when it rains it doesn't get wet...It is such a beautitful space...love ...love itâ€đ
Hi Taylor!!!! You seriously reinvigorated my love of thrifting over this last year and a half. I have absolutely loved thrifting since high school but totally lost sight of it in the last few years. The second it was safe enough to go back to my love⊠I did ⊠and have ever since đ The pandemic made me realize that life is too precious to not do the things we love⊠You know? So thank you so much for inspiring me to do what I love⊠Now and always! And if youâre ever in the DC area girl⊠I will personally show you around all of the best amazing thrift spots in DC/Maryland/Virginia! Pinky promise!
AND⊠you are a BAD ASS BISH!!! Just confirming!!! đ
@@SimplySusan just a short question, how do you like how Biden is doing with our economy and such? Gas is crazy high and still going up, he cannot half talk, like maybe heâs had a strange or two? He looks younger than he did in 2015 too! I mean not stretched younger though, not plastic surgery. Just checking on fellow American citizens to see how they like our government. Thanks and have a blessed filled life! DC is going through some huge changes Iâve seen.
@@lauratruthseekingWarrior This is the wrong platform for your "issues." Please, don't comment, just leave.
Omg you and your hubby were so funny and adorable. I love the way you thrifted and decorated the patio sis . Looks amazing and beautiful. Love you sis. đđâ€
Yes! đđ
Watching in March 2022, so I'm late to the party. Would have considered buying a couple of tubes of concrete crack filler to fill in the areas on the patio where the inset material has disappeared. Not sure what it was. Or fill in with some polymeric sand, which hardens after it is put in place and wet down with a fine spray of water from a hose. Chances are, the landlord wouldn't even notice other than that the stones had been cleaned. Looks absolutely wonderful. I would have added more curtains on the other side that is open to the yard next store that doesn't have the tall wood fence, but other than that, it's a summer wonderland!
Looks incredible! Would love a cost breakdown next time!
Obviously it's more of a mileage may vary thing. Plus if it's me I'm not going to give you shit Because none of your busines
Awesome Patio Makeover, Taylor!
Love that you stained the wood and didnât paint it all and saved some of the original details!
I came across this video and I loved it. You are fun and uplifting. I'm looking forward to seeing more happy and lovely things from you.
Hello, Taylor. I enjoyed this so much. Your husband was a great addition. He needs his own channel. Do more segments with both of youâŠIt works. More More
Your patio looks so good! This DIY needs to be featured on apartment therapy!
HOLY COW!! THAT IS THEE BEST PATIO MAKE OVER I HAVE EVER SEEN ON A BIDGET. IT LOOKS LIKE YOU SPENT A FORTUNE!! MUCHO KUDO!!!!YOU GLO GIRL!!
This was so fun to watch! I wish we saw a picture of it after dark! You did a great job!
The fun you were having with this project was evident in this video. I loved seeing you be not just happy but a little silly :) Laughed out loud at "this ladder is as unstable as I am!" :) Amazing job on this space Taylor. Looking forward to more videos like this! :)

I love your black and gold glasses. Beautiful job on the patio. Wish you gave a budget or total to accomplish this look.
I absolutely love how you created the patio. How cool it is that the previous tennant built the pergola. Its beautiful !!
great job, that alot of work! a bit of advice to keep/make the stone patio look and stay beautiful is to get some polymeric sand. you can get it in different colors and it will act almost as grout for the stones . all you do is spread is brush it into the cracks blow it off then hose it in! just a thought for this summer to freshen it up lol cheers
It came out so dope! From the satisfying pressure wash to the diy lamp...The pillowS!!!! And the plants all complimented the space beautifully!đ
You did an amazing job!!! I cannot believe how cozy and beautiful it is!
Nice job â€. you should add some paving sand on the patio to close those gaps between the stones. Then spray it down with water to seal it.
You can stain the stones since you have cleaned them. Loweâs or Home Depot has different colors to choose from. Walmart sometimes has cheaper priced ferns and other plants too.
Beautiful and classic!! He nailed it!!
Loved this! Living vicariously through you because condo life means no backyard đ„Č
One word: IMPRESSIVE!!!
âââââ
Taylor, I think you found your niche!
Each decor piece is cohesive, and bringing in the natural plant elements with the beautiful rattan chairs, outdoor curtains, romantic candles and lighting definitely highlights a CHIC ambience and loungey vibe to your sophisticated patio. If you were my neighbor, I would be so elated to have you style my outdoor space. Can't wait to see your home reveal! đđ„°
hell yeah women can drive uhauls! I just drove from Oregon to North Carolina for 5 days straight in a 26' uhaul towing an SUV and packed to the gills with our home belongings!
Omg Taylor your fish earrings are ICONIC I absolutely love your style!!! đđđđ
Taylor, WOW! What a beautiful patio! I canât believe that is the same outdoor space that we saw at the beginning of the video!!! The pressure washing made an amazing difference, and then..the couches, decor, plants..simply fantastic!!! They are GREAT! Thanks for the DIY info, I think that is a great idea! The grouping and the chairs (love those!) are also perfect and the way you pulled it all together with the candles and glass vases and the stones! What a clever (and successful!!!) idea with the DIY pillows! They look like they should have come that way! My FAVORITE part is the way you brought in some privacy, texture and d3finiion to the spac with those curtains, (Although I really loved your basket lamp as well!). One of the VERY BEST transformations that I have EVER SEEN on CZcams! You should be very proud-I am super impressed!!!! I would love to come for a visit and sit out on your patio and talk about thrifting and fashion! I hope you are happy in your new home! I can picture afternoons, evenings, and even your morning coffee out there! You will love that space for years to come! I know that, with your wonderful personality and warm friendly nature, you will have a whole host of new friends before you know it! Enjoy the patio, your new home and all the exploring you can do in a new place! Thanks for showing us the entire process! Loved it!!!! đ
I had to join your channel. You and your hubby are adorable and you did a nice job. Donna xoxo
I love the way it looks đ. Enjoyed watching đ đ đ
I would love to add irrigation to all my garden beds and flower beds.
A couple bags of paver sand brushed into cracks of patio would have been an upgrade completely inexpensive and affordable!
The pillows look fantastic on the couch.
You are as good at home decor as you are at clothes, you are a very gifted person, itâs beautiful!
Love everything about your video, first time watching â€â€â€
That pillow idea is so precious!! And one could make it Halloween, Christmas, Easter, etc! So cuteđđđ
This was a fun video and your patio is amazing.
Thanks for all the funky fun ideas!!
It looks high end great!!
But if the flower pots donât have drain holes, be sure in dump the excess water out after a rain or weekly wateringor the plants will âwater rotâ.
lol! I love him. when he starts and you're trying to talk. Typical husband! hahahah
You were cracking me up đ. Great video, love the items you found!
Ok. That was a seriously fun video! I didnât want it to end! I loved all of your choices. The patio turned beautiful!!
STL friend here! You look like you live in U-City Or by St Francis Park near the Hill, just from the look of the buildings. Great ideas and outdoor area! Looks beautiful!
Love it . Maybe some lanterns would be cute too.
Your pillows are giving me joy
It turned out really cute.. The basket turned lampshade and your DIY pillows are my favorite. I think I would get more curtains and do the other side opposite of the side you did to create privacy from the other neighbor.
Wow! You are so Talented and your "new" patio looks Ah-mazing! Thanks for sharing your process!
Love how your pergola turned out! You have great style, Taylor, and you are so DIY-talented! Derek continues to crack me up with his deadpan looks...you and he are such opposites, and it is beautiful to see!
It turned out so beautiful
Love the stone
I used IKEA sheers; 96" long; about 9 bucks for a 2PACK. I tied them to the pergala poles with Rope bought at a hardware store. Cheap. I tie them back so when wind blows they don't knock over glasses sitting on tables, etc. But great JOB!
This patio makeover was EVERYTHING!! ââââ **sharing** on social media. đ
Fantastic job Taylor, everything looks divine.
idea for you and everyone on the rocks (or spanish moss if that is what you go with) you can put paper to fill your pot 1/2 way so you won't waste rock or soil
Your patio is gorgeous and functional. You have many talents.
Awesome đ
A suggestion;
You could add some sand to the floor so it can go to the parts that are exposed with dirt and it would help minimize the growth of weeds in between the slabs of stones on your floor.
That spacee Looks so good.....
I would spend my days and evenings right out there.
Enjoy.
Looks Amazing!!! Love the ambiance!!!đđđ
I hope that you are SUPER proud of this makeover and the video that accompanied it, what a transformation!
Love love love what you did. Bravo!
I love that goldfish bag earrings!!
I knew that was a Lone Fox hack the minute I saw it! AND it looks amazing. You've created an oasis here! I can't wait to have a backyard to flip!

Love the terrazzo table and glass coffee table! And the ferns are soooo beautiful they will continue to look so good as they grow and grow!
Omg great redo & video! But seriously off topic, I love, love, your glasses ( aviator style with gold top frame) I need those in my life! đ„°
Very impressive! We have an empty patio and your video gives great ideas. I am not one who comes up with original ideas, so I appreciate you coming up with this and posting the process. Many thanks!
So satisfying watching the beginning, the shopping, the build and the finish! This space is awesome. Iâm shopping for my first home and Iâm obsessed with my outdoor space. Saving this for inspo đ
Great jobâ€đ
I enjoyed watching and learning from the video. Great work đ
Taylor, you are a decorating genius! I wish I had your eye for design like thisâŠ
This is THE BESTTTTTT you are a pro!!!
I laughed so hard -- LOVED it when you felt like a BAD A$$ Be-at-CH driving the u-haul! I just did that for the first time this weekend moving my daughter and I WAS ALL POWERFUL up in that cab! Totally get it! And....no one died in the making of that move, so there's that.
My favourite YT vid of yours to date!! Amazing job. Will definitely be using this as inspo for my patio project in the future đ„°
That is a Pinterest worthy patio. Beautiful work Taylor
You did such a good job! I love the DIY shade!
Hello from Puerto Rico. Great Jobs. I miss your videos, please do more.

Love, love, love it!! Great job đđ
I totally love all of it together and "going through it with you"
Taylor, your channel is fascinating, full of innovative and creative ideas indeed. I see you doing yourself the hard work. Do you mind if I ask you where have you learned all these construction/gardening/decorative skills? is there any course or degree that prepares you for this type of work and business? My daughter is only 8 years old, but her strengths are art/design/gardening/creativity, she is gifted with soft skills and she is using her both hands whatever she does, neither left handed, nor right handed. I would like to support her towards a creative career that would bring her satisfaction, no stress and also, secure her income. I don't want her to waste her time and wonder all her life what she can do with her creative skills. what type of courses/university prepares you or builds your foundation for this type or work? what would you advise? greetings from the UK.
It turned out so awesome!!!
Love love the decor
I know this is an older video, but some paver sand brushed into the spaces of the patio would help a bit with loose stones and help to level things
Fabulous! What an awesome space you've created!
OMG it came out so good! Seriously patio goals!!!
omg this was so fun & turned out so amazing!!!!! love everything especially the curtain idea đ
I LOVED THIS VIDEO! Thank you for giving me the inspiration I desperately needed to give my backyard deck a lovely little thrifted makeover! đ
