It was odd to me as a kid that the comedians that wound up super famous and in movies were never as funny as comedians I saw on TV like Dave Attell, Bernie Mac, Lynne Koplitz, Colin Farrell (Patrice and Greg, obviously)…

Saw him live last week and he was just as fantastic as he was 10+ years ago. I think Netflix should really consider resurrecting Insomniac.
I think he is sober now. Which is great.. but i do miss insomniac
I used to watch that show in my pre-adulting age. And that show really showed me at age 14-16 what the rest of the weird world had to offer. This was before social media. Lol I miss those days. Early to mid 2000s were great!

For his legacy I simply want more recorded stand up from Dave Attel. It’s the greatest loss to society that more of Dave’s material isn’t available for the future generations of comedy fans. One of the greatest comedians of all time.
His recorded work, aside from the old cds, is way too tame compared to his live shows. You gotta see him in a club to get the "real" Dave.
I wish he would make more comedy albums. Why does he only have one?
"Skanks For The Memories" is tame? Raunchy. Saw him in Bethlehem,PA about 7 yrs ago and Bumping Mics w/ Jeff Ross more recently. More subdued as he got older but still funny.@@AngryJT

Dave is one of the all time greatest comedians!!
And he is HIGHLY praised in the comedy community. He certainly has a level of respect from his peers as an original comedy genius

Norm Macdonald was the only stand-up comedian that ever held my interest for their entire career. Now that he's gone I've been watching some other comics and nobody makes me laugh like he did.

Went to the Comedy Cellar in NYC as a bucket list item. Dave Attell just happened to headline and slay it. 100% fresh material, still as funny today as he was in this special.
Wow! Honestly you got lucky. When I was there I kept getting reverse heckled by some unfunny amateurs

Saw him there last night. Pure coincidence that he was performing. Did the 1130pm show Sunday and no other dates all weekend. Saw him 6 months ago and this was so mostly new material.
This is one of the all time great sets, just rapid fire delivery for a near half hour, amazing stuff

Attell was one of the reasons I got into comedy. I think I watched this in 1999 on CC. Inspired me to start doing comedy, then I did comedy, then immediately stopped doing comedy. About to go back. Met Dave and he's one of the best.

There are so many good comedian who have amazing specials on comedy central, sadly they make it impossible to find any of them.
There's a certain generation that understands all of the references. Those were good years.
I remember staying up smoking cigs in our kitchen watching insomniac at 10-11 years old. And the man show aired around the same time I think. And then the girls gone wild adverts followed that XD.
That's kind of funny because the Man Show 2.0 was co-hosted by Doug Stanhope who said the Girls Gone Wid guy is "pure evil" 👍

Idk about that, I do know that the right will say Bill Clinton was on those flights and the left will say Donald Trump was on those flights but the truth is, being on those flights isn't necessarily damning, it could be seen as suspicious. Someone attracted to preteens between 10-13 would be a hebephile and someone attracted to teenages between 14-17 would be an ahebophile. That pedophile word gets thrown around too often.
