Hello Laura and Aaron, I only found you last month and I am addicted to your shows, I think most of all you are so inspiring. I have often seen these succulents and thought how beautiful they are. So unusual. I live in North Wales, UK and look across at the sea, it's about a ten minute walk. As you know in England our weather changes from day to day. I think from watching your videos I would feel confident enough to try this one day,, but how would succulents do here? Just imagine, all the people all over the world with completely different weather but all of us being inspired by you to work in our gardens. I have achieved so much in one month and my mind is working overtime about what I now want to do in my garden. THANK YOU and to thousands of people watching, isn't it great all feeling the same from watching Laura (thank you Aaron for all your hard work behind the scenes). All stay safe and keep gardening x

I’m just starting to appreciate succulents and that is so pretty!
Things are gradually opening back up in my city, but I have to say, your videos (and entire page, which I discovered a couple months ago) have been SUCH a nice daily distraction during this time. No politics, no bad news, no complicated plot lines (compared to some of my Netflix binges)... just pretty flowers and nice things being constructed. And orange kitties. And an occasional toddler. It’s become my youtube equivalent of watching Bob Ross episodes on Netflix to unwind/de-stress. Anyways - thanks! And keep up the good work 👍

You make arranging things so easy! I always struggle to get them to stay in place. Kind of on topic and kind of not-would you consider doing a how-to video on flower arranging once you have some good cut flowers ready? I have been cutting some flowers from my garden to bring in, and I am unsure of how get the right look when arranging. As always, thanks for what you do!

Hi Laura, I really enjoyed your succulent arrangement video this morning. I have always wanted to try to plant succulents. Last time I went to a garden center for them they were all gone. They must be popular! I also think the way you planted your new property is very well organized and it looks great like that. It will be interesting to see you space the plants when they grow. I have nice gardens of flowers, mostly perennials in my yard. The yard (once it was weeded out of vines etc) was more impressive than the house. The house was very run down and the oldest part from the about 1830 or earlier. We researched it at the county level but we kept going back and back. Anyway, my love for plants and trees began with my parents of course and my grandparents who had an amazing cherry tree that I sat in for hours picking those delicious fruit and putting them in a cup. It was so much fun. My mom had three beautiful rose buses I loved and we had arrangements once in a while. One of her best friends loved zinnias and she brought my mom beautiful homemade arrangements and bouquets. They went on the coffee table or the dining room table and we felt so chic! My neighbor and aunt Bess (Gasko) Hopewell lived next door to me and she really got me involved in her beautiful flowers because it was so bold and beautiful to see her landscape. Her parents had a large greenhouse business in Englishtown, NJ. I would buy flats of marigolds from her. One year she gave me a huge hosta plant. It is white and green and very beautiful. It was very tough to separate. It took a lot of work but finally I was able to create a row of the plants under a bay window (on the ground) but under an ac unit in the summer too. They did so well there. They form a magnificent hedge now and my brother who bought the house should probably separate them. So, now in south Jersey I am propagating all the plants I was blessed with here. The hosta are just green. The iris are antique I think with brown and purple in them.
Sorry this is so wordy. I'm on a roll about my gardens now and having fun making decisions. I'm also getting a feeder ready for all the songbirds I hear every day. Take care,

I always enjoy watching you put together an arrangement of succulents. It brings me back to the class my daughter and I took when you came to gardeners supply in Vermont a few years back when you were pregnant for Benjamin. I still have my planter I made at that class . I had so much fun that afternoon.

The Watch Chain Crassula is one of my top 5 favorite plants! One plant can grow and be divided into many. Giving them a good haircut from time to time fills them out again also. So sweet !

They are just stunning, I'm filling all of my containers with fallen leaves and tiny trade cuttings, they are looking really amazing, usually just after a few months. I'm really lucky that most of them are perennials in our zone, too!!

Hi Laura, I really appreciate the content you provide through your channel. The powdery substance that is on some succulent varieties is called Farina, which is like a sunscreen for the plant. It does regenerate after being disrupted over time, so I usually put them in a part sun/morning sun area of my garden if I can to allow it to come back. Thanks again for your informative content.
