Christine Nichols thank you.
Lot of useful information
I don't see how you can get so much in one container without starving them to death They are just beautiful.
@@dontask3528 The answer is feeding the flowers with fertilizer on a regular schedule.
I realize I'm quite randomly asking but do anyone know of a good site to watch new tv shows online?
I am a retired TEACHER who has become one of your faithful STUDENTS who ALWAYS shows up for class! Thank you so much for all you do. YOU are a great teacher and motivator❤️💐
I‘m a future teacher and I agree with you whole-heartedly ❤️ Laura‘s videos are so educational, entertaining, motivating and fun to watch 😊 keep up the awesome work 👍🏻
Me too, Judy! Laura is a wonderful teacher.
Seems like everything Laura touches in garden, turns into gold...
It really does! But, if I were a betting girl, I’d bet that ever Laura has her garden struggles. I have so many failures in the garden but I always more success than failures overall.
Would be neat to see a container comparison where you plant with the cheapest soil versus really good quality soil, just to see the difference it makes :)
I’d like to see that along with a comparison where she does two pots with the same soil, but one with Proven Winners Supertunias and another with generic petunias of the same color. Experiments are always fun!
I have to remember too that she always starts with large plants anyways.
Ground soil sets up like concrete. Uhg! Water runs through channels and the plants seem to get little water. Sparse, weak leaves, almost skeletal and dingy flowers. I've learned my lesson.
I’d definitely watch that one! I think with everyone doing more gardening now due to the public health issues we’ve been having, it’s been hard to find potting soil! I started out the season with my favorite kind, but now some stores are out of potting soil and I just have to get what’s left anywhere I can get it.
i would never know since i make my own potting mix. i suggest everyone try making their own - it's easier than one would think and there are lots of expert youtubers who teach how. it all starts with great compost. once you know how, you'll never buy again.
Great Tips as usual! One of the main things I have learned from you is FEED YOUR PLANTS!! I never did that before. They are thriving now! Thanks!!😀
While watching your video, I said “I think my plants have budworms.” My 6 year old, who knows how much I love Garden Answer, said, “Whatever she says works, buy it.” Yep. Even six year olds know Laura is an expert.
Lol
@@annemelon5283 How do you know Kimberly Barker did not start her plants from seed? Exactly! You do not know!
Her comment was pertaining to budworms eating her plants and what to do about it. It had absolutely nothing to do with how the plants actually got their start, or whom started them!
Even though this specific video that teaches about watering and has nothing to do with teaching you how to start a plant from seed, Kimberly could have already shown him how to start plants from seed, you don't know! If she hasn't, Laura has a great video on this very channel that teaches you how to start from seed!! I am sure there is more than one!!!
Her comment is not weird at all!!! In fact it is your comment that has an issue!!! No it is not weird, it just shows how you are a straight forward SMARTASS!!!!!!!
You do NOT have a clue how educated Kimberly is on gardening. If she isn't well educated, as I am not, she too can learn so much as I do from the great video content that Laura on thus channel "Garden Answers" puts out daily!!!!
Laura is highly educated in gardening!! If you don't believe that either then maybe you should watch another channel or just teach yourself, considering you are such the genius at gardening!!!!!!!!
@@annemelon5283 Ma'am, you are rude and very arrogant. For your sake, I'm sorry. Cheers!!! 😊
Kimberly That's Cute ,you have a future pro there
Anne Melon, Laura worked in her parents’ garden center for many years. I would say she is quite educated in horticulture. Working there was much better than any “formal” education. I’m not sure what your problem is with Laura other than she’s successful, but I would suggest you don’t watch her channel or read the comments of those of us who do.
Oh my goodness look at Laura's beautiful lush colorful flower containers. Sooooooo gorgeous ❤
I have learned so much from you. My flowers are gorgeous this year and it's all because of you and this channel!
I am sure you have been a godsend to everyone in quarantine! Me included. I have binge-watched all your posts and have loved the evolution and progress of your garden. Also love the inspiration you have given me. I have something positive to look forward to every morning. Also, Can't wait to see your trees planted and to see them grow.
100% YES on picking PW plants! I planted Supertunia Bubblegum in my container arrangements for the first time this year and they are SPECTACULAR! Even my boys and husband have been amazed! 😂 Best part though, is no deadheading!
I love the idea of not watering with a watering can every day sounds so good.😊
I feel like this is my pep talk for doing my flowers this year! Thank you!
Those are my favorite containers this year. Or, until the next video 🤦🏻♀️lol. Great tips. God bless. 👏🏻💕👏🏻
Just said to my husband this morning, "I wonder what am I doing wrong with my pots?" Laura to the rescue!! 🌸
The containers are stunning.
I love your work. You have grown so much since this
I made the mistake of buying a 6 cell pack of lobelia over a
Proven winners plant this summer, for my containers to save some money. ( BIG MISTAKE) I ended up ripping them out because they looked terrible. My window box has proven winners in it and it looks amazing. Thank you Laura for all that you do. I’ve learned so much from your channel
I occasionally will buy a 6 pack & bump them up to quarts to get more roots before I plant them. Only if what I want isn't available in a larger size. Usually, only the cheapest plants are grown in 6 packs as the "plugs" (tiny plants provided to growers) can have a large price difference.
Lobelia isn't a sun lover. It tends to like the cooler weather. Watering is tricky with them too. I buy them often but this might be my last year. Or I'll put them in more shade. They're so pretty tho so hard to pass up. And I deadhead them by running my fingers through them. And they'll re bloom. But generally by mid Aug. they're toast.
I just started doing yard work in my 30s. Started with just flower beds and now I mow/edge myself. My beds look better than my edging, but I’m trying 😁
Thank you Laura for spending your time educating us newbies and experienced gardeners.
I just feel like we are a family in this global world... Thank god negativity never bothers you, else i have seen some of my favorite youtubers who have succumbed to depression from all the negatively from the comments and dislikes... Keep doing the good work... Hopefully we will meet one day... Love you guys
Those pots are absolutely the most gorgeous things I’ve ever seen. I can’t imagine the joy you must feel each time you walk past them. I have small pots but enjoy planting them and I’m getting ready next year to put in some type of drip lines. I can’t thank you enough for your videos every day, they are always so inspiring.
Because of you, I look for the Supertunia Vista series when I'm plant shopping. They are incredible!!!!
Yes!!! I learned about the supertunia vistas from Laura and I haven’t looked back since. They are worth every penny !
Love the purple and yellow combo
WOW! Those containers are beautiful!!! Thanks for the tips, as always 😊
Good Morning!
Wow! Those containers are really showing off!
I’ve been following your advice now for over a year, and have been loving my containers more and more! Thank you so much. Your advice is awesome.
Same here, my containers have never looked this good, and although I cannot get PW plants, they still look way better than they ever did
Amor Ashby same, I’m in Ireland and with COVID can’t get proven winners delivered but my pots are so much improved anyway just from watching these videos🇮🇪😊
I love those containers. The coral cannas are just gorgeous and the combination of plants and colors is so original and happy! You are so talented!! 💞
They're extraordinary!
I agree I love them too
Getting ready to water my plants and here comes Laura, well I will do it later
OOOOMAGOSH!! WHAT A COLOR EXPLOSION!!!! JUST AMAZING! LUV LUV LUVIT!!!!!!😍🤤
She is so beautiful and kind. I love your videos. Blessings
Awesome, Thank you!! Miss the photography pictures ending the videos with the send off music! Love everything you do, such a huge fan!
Happy gardening day! 🌻🌼🌸🌺🌾
Love this video! I’m a new container gardener and there were some great tips!
Stunning container.
Such perfect advice for us followers learning ! Thank you for these gems of wisdom!
Looks the 10tips👍
Beautiful container plants . It all look so amazing.
Good morning 🐝🌻
They are gorgeous!! I have to become more diligent with fertilizing. I add it when planting and then try to fertilize every other week but that doesn't always happen. Seeing your containers makes me realize how much better mine would look if I fertilized every week. Thanks for sharing these 10 tips. 🌻💗🌻💗
Those pots are THE MOST BEAUTIFUL POTS I have ever seen!!! I wrote down the plants so I can duplicate next year. Absolutely magnificent!
10 helpful tips.................... your videos are always very informative!!!!!
EXCELLENT list Laura! I work in a garden centre and the biggest issues with our customers' flower pots are definitely consistency in watering and fertilizing. The size of the container makes a huge difference. Thank you for going over this list!
Baby questions:
• Will you show us a (new) nursery update? How does it look now and will you move Benjamin or move the little baby things?
• Have you already recieved baby stuff from followers and do you still have loads of things from the last time?
• What do you think the gender will be? If it's a gril do you want to deck her out in pink or rather universal colours?
• Would you consider doing updates on your belly? I love seeing those, seeing a baby grow sped up😬
All the love for you four humans and the kitties and chickens❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
These containers are truly magnificent. Thank you so much for sharing your tips.
What I really like about these 2 containers is that although they have a slight tropical look, they can effortlessly move in to the fall without being changed. Plus, I do prefer a more natural less manicured look. 👍💚
I love the bantering that you and Aaron do during your follow up videos. You are great. Take care!!!
Another great video. You've got it covered with everything we need for success. Those containers are knockouts this year. Best ever. Thank you.
These flowers are so lovely. I wish they could grow well
in Chicago, IL.
Giving myself a pat on the back! I have been following everything on the list! My containers have improved 100% since I started following & watching your videos!!!! Thank you for helping me become a better gardener! 😊🌹🌿💐🌺🌼💚❤🌿
Always learning something new with your videos ....Thank You !!
You are so blessed
Thanks. Great advice.
Wow Laura what a fantastic video . Plants look great ! Do you eat your Nasturtiums? Boy , I do in salads .. by the way you look radiant ( mama) ! I’m so excited for you and Aaron & Benjamin and family . Since your having his best friend . Aweee so sweet ! Love that boy !
My husband and I discovered you and your videos this year. WOW! We have learned so much. Thank you for sharing your expertise.
Beautiful flowers 🌺🌹🏵💮🌷🌻🌸💕
WOW! THOSE ARE AMAZING!!!
Stunning! Stunning! Stunning! Thank you for sharing your know how 🤗🌸
You’re planters look amazing! Good video as always Laura! 🌺
Your pots always look so amazing. Thank you for those wonderful tips.
I found that a mix of soil from the garden with new soil (1:2 to 1:3) works really well with tomatoes. The soil from the garden locks up water nicely, but with a majority of new pot soil, it still is airy. At least it has worked for me now :)
This was a big topic on the Facebook group! Thank you for addressing this 💗 they are STUNNING
More people need to try cannas. They do very well in containers and even better in the ground. I have rose coral, orange and yellow this year.
Great information as usual. Garden Answer is my go-to resource. You always provide the most detailed information. Thank you for sharing your expertise.
You have made gardening a pleasure and not a chore for me!! Thank you for letting us share your lives and for all of your valuable experience!
Gorgeous container love the combo ❤️❤️❤️❤️
That canna is so beautiful!! Well done!
Great overview for summer annuals. You always seem to know what we need a lesson on. Just love watching you each morning. Congrats on your pregnancy, and don’t overdo!😘
I wish all the garden centres here in England have all these knowledge and lots of varieties and good quality plants, God bless you.
one of the best videos you have made! thank you for so much information!!!!
You always know just when to put out the perfect content!!! Thank you! 💗💜💗
This weekend I went to a local garden center here in North Idaho where they sell Proven Winners. I got to see a TON of the plants you use in your garden and it was so fun to see the actual plants in person! They were doing an event called "Hydrangeapalooza" with over 300 varieties of hydrangeas so I finally got to see the Quick Fire, the Limelight, and TONS more. It was awesome!
yes Laura very helper video. great looking containers.
The heat here in southern Louisiana is so intense!! I’m going to try the Gailardia for my window box. Loved the video!! You look beautiful!!
South Louisiana here too 🤝
Have you tried Supertunia Vista.....plant early so they get established before heat sets in and they are amazing!
Good morning. Another good video that I needed right now. Going out shortly to fertilize and trim. Thanks
Newer to gardening and always watch your videos. This video was particularly helpful as we have a south facing balcony. My supertunia bubblegum & bordeaux are glorious! Thank you Laura! 😃🌷
So much useful information in such a brief amount of time. So motivating to get out and figure out a solution to very annoying issues. Thanks so much!
Wow Laura. They look amazing. I remember when you first planted them. Spectacular. So tropical.
Thanks for recharging me! I was not going to do my weekly fertilizer today but now I’m pumped back up! Just what I needed!
This was terrific and fact filled . i love how you broke it down and made it enjoyable to watch.i will be saving this clip for sure.
Beautiful flowers. Thanks for sharing.
Super packed video full of excellent tips. Thank you guys!
Thank you Laura! Some of us are slow learners, thanks for telling us
repeatedly! 🤗💜
Oh my gosh!!!😍 They are magnificent!!!
beautiful!
!T y for title. Easy ...for my library!
Hi Laura and Aaron! These are some great, and very much appreciated, tips. I love how you don't just say to do something, but take the time to explain the reason behind it. Those containers are beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing!
Those containers are stunning!!!
Listening avidly! This project is now on my list! Thank you for your excellent information... spot on! Currently I’m preparing to do the drip system and starting a small cutting garden between now and first frost! Laura, you’re the best!
Loved how you covered the flower that needed deadheading behind the leaf, I would have totally done and said the same thing. :) Perfect timing for this video, I a container project this weekend.
Laura, you are inspiring and I plan on potting up my Lanai and front entrance last this year. So this video was perfect timing! This one is a saver! Thank you!
Those pots are gorgeous🌾🌾
I love how you added the time signature! I haven't seen anyone do that. I had to stop, reverse, and pause view. I like the visual and will reverse again and screenshot these tips. So happy I'm doing a little better and learning to be better with my annuals! 😀
Unfortunately, 3 out of my 4 concrete containers (that I've had for 20 years!!! How did the ancient civilizations manage to make their last from then til now-and going & going....?!?!) decided they were done & pretty much crumbled to smithereens! A friend gave me a couple of faux whiskey barrels that I still haven't planted anything still but hoping to still make it in time for a lush end-of-fall showing. You inspire me all the time. When I have an ugh-too-hot-outside moment, I watch one of your videos & it kicks me into gear. :) So, thank you from the bottom of my heart to the tips of my grubby fingers.
I have learned so much from Laura and am eternally grateful to her. My garden has flourished because I followed her advice.
Amen to the $3 compared to the $5. I tried the wave petunias in the front of my house and it has been trying. I will definitely spend the extra 💰 for Proven winners. I did some PW petunias in back of my house and it was worth it for sure. I was just trying it out in front to see if petunias would do well since my front yard only gets a couple hours of sun. Trial complete, plenty of sun and come on PW petunias next year! Something to look forward to - planning started. 😊 And change to concrete or aqua pots 😉. Love the color explosion.
Love your videos Laura. You and your family are so fun to watch and I'm always inspired. You are a beautiful lady inside and out.
I'm an experienced gardner and I always learn something from you. THANK YOU
Great tips Laura!! I knew all of these but hearing why and in a list just put it all together for me!!!
Love watching you!
Great tips Laura! i love your videos (thank you Aaron ... you do a great job filming & editing!)
