I have a 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 elevation, will this be compatible?

This kit is not directly compatible and would require fabrication of the mounts, however the actual electronics should work completely fine.

Whats the reason thos doesnt work for 09-14 models. I do t see a good reason on install video?

Hello! The molding is cut to the design of the 2015-2020 F-150 bumper topper. In theory, this kit could be fabricated to be used on the 09-14 models.
