Gucci was and is the ultimate in luxury goods for the influential and famous. The label was the epitome of high style until the late 1970’s when bad business decisions and family disagreements brought the company on the verge of bankruptcy. Tom Ford and Domenico de Sole were brought in and transformed Gucci into a fashion powerhouse in the 1990s, adding emphasis on sex-appeal and turned the label into the most talked about and most desired collection of the season, every season.
