  • 2020 mod l with Kawasaki 24 hp engine and K66 rear end. 48" deck. Not a lot of videos on this line so here we go. I know I misstated the name. It's a TS 348XD.

    I bought one of these back in 19 and have around 70 hours on it. No issues so far I just change oil and grease it. This year I am going to replace the blades though. Really like it I hope to get many years of service out of it.

    I have the same one, but it has the Charger connection built into the hood. Watch the front locking clips that hold the front wheels on, I had one come of and the wheel went rolling away! It is a good unit for the money, paid $3000.

    So I'm deciding between this and the TS248G. Is it worth it to pay $500 more for the k66 transmission over the k58? I'm thinking that would improve longevity due to not working as hard.

    Being you own one of these.. They come with a k66 tranny.. But from what I've read, it only drives up to 5.6 mph... Which is strange.. other tractors with same tranny do 6.6 to 7.2 mph.. That is the only reason why I have not jump on one of these..

    Thanks for sharing this video. This is a really nice machine. Looks like you got it in May this year so I'm wondering how the mowing season went with it. Also - can you confirm one thing - can the seat be adjusted forward-backward only by lifting it up and loosening that one bolt with the plastic handle, or is there a way to move it when you are sitting on the tractor? Thanks!

    • @Beans2g0

      Clever and timely question. I have 16 hours on it, mowed about every 2 weeks, now it's leaf season. The only downside was having to level the deck again. It came level from the vendor, but something happened along the way that I had to level it again. It may have been because I got the deck snagged on a root a time or two and it popped free as I kept moving forward, so slight snags. I just noticed it as walking up to it on the driveway. I mow in dusty conditions, and with a K&N filter, I just got l blow it out with a leaf blower every mow, no issues. I would blow it out even with a normal filter, just my meticulous nature. I ran out of gas twice because they gauge is hard to read and easy to overlook. Starts up like a champ, runs like a champ, and a solid machine. I did seal the lights with sealant before I started mowing, definitely do that first to prevent dirt from getting in. Tires are excellent, seat is excellent. Engine is excellent. Deck is excellent.

      The seat can be adjusted, per the manual, but I am the only mower in the family so it's set on one position.

    Looks good man, I want one pretty bad now after seeing a few videos. Those things are basically a $7000 dollar garden tractor 50% off lol, nothing compares at the price point. Those transmissions have a lot of good reviews. Also If you want to go even further with protecting that there is two things you can do. one is get a can of ( LPS 1 ) and disconnect all of the electrical plugs one at a time and spray the LPS 1 in them, including the battery terminals and the back sides of any gagues/switches/meters/lights/alternator. That will insure its 100% waterproof, thats how guys water proof sensitive electronics in RC boats and planes by the way, because its safe on plastic wont eat it. The other product I really like is from AMSOIL, its the "Muddslinger" its kind of like a silicon lubricant, you spray it over any plastic/rubber surfaces and it protects them from the UV light (plastics will look brand new forever) as well as anywhere you don't want dirt/mudd to stick.. I got it for my dirt bike originally, inside the fenders and the bottom of the frame, after riding I just hose the bike off and its clean! zero scrubbing involved. Also works on/under the mower deck, just avoid the belt and pulleys is all. Hope that helps keep that thing nice for years ;) Who knows I might buy it used one day lol

      On mine I do not use water but blow it off after each use, clean it up real good. I waxed all metal and it is parked in my garage all the time not in use. I use an air compressor.

    • @Beans2g0
      @Beans2g0  Před 4 lety

      I read that too, and have to confirm it's true. In the shade or overcast, good luck. If the sun is overhead then it's better, still difficult to see because you aren't sure if it's gasoline or a shadow of the fill line. I just shook the tractor and tried to listen to how full it may be.

      @@alexroski8454 At 4:15 you can see the fuel Reserve lever. If you run out of gas, flip the lever to Reserve and ride the mower to where your gas can is. After refuelling, flip the lever back to the ON position. This feature almost makes up for the lack of a good gas gauge.
