    Bought a 93 Z-28 new, been road racing it since the day I bought it, in 2001 build a 620 hp, 660 tq LT-1, still road racing it constantly, I have never touched the original T-56, shifter broke a few years back put in a new MGW shifter, 212,000 miles of pure road racing, the transmission and the whole car are an incredible piece of machinery, this tired old Camaro is whippin piss out of everything on the track still today, what a ride this thing has been.

    Just bought a Challenger RT with one of these transmissions in it, it's awesome to drive! Very impressive to see some of the engineering close up and exposed. Thanks for the vid

    Thanks for the video, this is one of the best explanations I have seen. I am going to be doing an LS swap into my mazda RX8 - the magnum F is $$$ but also looks like the best solution.

    2011 Camaro SS with Hurst short throw. TR6060. 2nd is crazy crunchy when cold. Once it warms up it’s ok but man 🤦‍♂️

    Wow. Did I see the shifter move by itself? Was that 6060 air shifted?

      @@brokeboyzgarage Thank you for the quick response. It sure looked like it was shifting itself to me. Tremec is awesome and.....bulletproof. Good luck with whatever you throw a 6060 into. Thanks again sir.

    • @alsmith7270
      @alsmith7270 Před 2 lety

      That's not good, I hope they didn't lower themselves to using China bearings, I put Royal Purple in my 93 Camaro on the day I picked it up from the dealer, put it in everything, been road racing this car since 93, 212,000 miles, nothing ever wears out, but the parts need to be quality American made, there is no hope for China or Japanese junk, nothing can save that shit.

      @@alsmith7270 so should I get a T-56 or the TR-660

    • @alsmith7270
      @alsmith7270 Před 2 lety

      @@SUPADUDE4070 I don't know if I can help you much there, all I can say is that I have been road racing this car (93 Z-28) for 28 years and 212,000 miles and have never touched this T-56, with the MGW shifter that I put in a few years back it seems to be impossible to miss a gear, putting lots of power to it also, this LT-1 is making about 660 torque at the flywheel, sounds like they made upgrades to the TR-6060 but if they chose to save a few bucks and went with Japanese or China bearings than no matter how good the engineering is the tranny will soon be junk, I think you would be happy with either one.
