I absolutely love this figure. It is up there with Alita as my favorite purchases of 2020.

Love this version of Darth Maul. I have the DX17 with the Bloodfin Speeder and also this Solo version but prefer the look of the Phantom Menace Maul but like the Solo version Maul figure better, just a shame we didn't get to see Maul more in the Solo movie, i actually thought the film was good fun. Cant wait for the Clone Wars version now😎

In your copy, does he have inconsistent shades of black on his headsculpt? I noticed mine has a darker shade on his jaws compared to the three slightly grayish tattoos on his forehead.
Everything looks the same shade to me.
Did you have a hard time getting Maul into the sitting position? Just got him and was struggling a little to get him in position so I stopped not wanting to break it.
It wasn’t too bad, but it does have to be bent to the limits lol

Has anyone ever tried to replace the LEDs with white LEDs?
He's cool. But I still think The Phantom Menace Darth Maul blows him away. I never had any issues with the suit or head sculpts at least on mine it looks just like Ray Park. Then there's the Naboo Darth Maul from Sideshow that's a complete homerun! Except this issues with the wrapped lightsaber blades. And he should have definitely come with his cloak. In fact the Hot Toys cloak looks better on the Sideshow one. I love the clock the Hot Toys one comes with on mine it hangs nicely. And I CAN NOT WAIT for the Clone Wars Maul.
I haven’t owned the sideshow version but I did think sideshow did a really good job with that one as well! Thanks for watching!
@@thejediknightswatch the Sideshow is spot on Ray Park. His body was lose like all of Sideshows figures but he's very posable and once you got him in a pose and the joints would lock in place so he was sturdy. I'd still have him Maul is my favorite character in the whole Saga episodes 1-6, and Qui-Gon. But I decided to stick only to Hot Toys. So I sold all my Sideshow figures. They do a few things better then Hot Toys through. One I hate that gimmicky crap light up sabers and voices all that stuff. Hot Toys makes it damn near impossible to change out the light arm. I've never bothered except with that iconic pose with Cody order 66 only because the arm comes off easy. Sideshow did it right. I think they only did it once with Padawan Obi-Wan he came with a second hilt just a little bit bigger you wouldn't even notice if you didn't have the other hilt to compare it to. But the batteries went right in the hilt Obi-Wan's blade you pull the pummel out just a little bit light goes on you pushing it in lights go off and it was a bright light to. The other thing that sideshow has one up on hard toys is a hand pegs. I like how sideshows hands have their own sturdy Peg. Unlike Hot Toys which can be a real pain in the ass to get out of the hands of the arm and they're extremely breakable.
