Best way to remove a broken exhaust bolt or stud. With arch shots, and why it works. (How to)

In this video, I show you how I remove a broken exhaust stud or bolt. This technique has never let me down. Obviously some bolt will break because they become annealed from all of the heat cycle they go through. But for the ones that aren’t broken, if you’re able to heat them with a torch, hit them with a hammer then quench them, you’ll drastically improve the likelihood of not breaking them off to begin with. If you do break them, or they are broken when you attempt to remove them this technique is awesome at successfully getting them out without swearing and throwing tools. If you have a MIG welder use the three steps heat, hammer, and quench before you weld your nut to the broken stud.
