In the very competitive AL East the pitching will play a pivotal role in the success of the Orioles to achieve their goals for the year. I really hope to see Bradish back in the rotation. Was pessimistic I admit. Perez is a frustrating story. I'm sure he feels that way battling issues. Would love him to get back and finish strong. I get the feeling the bullpen is having a comeback year.. That ground ball stat is very good. You can't defend home runs. No one was going to duplicate Bautista's 2023 season. Not even Felix Bautista himself. Kimbrel has been terrific. Cano is someone that I do worry about. Lately I am feeling more confident. Bauman what's going on man! Well it's off to KC and the troublesome Royals. This is a great early battle for power ranking bragging rights among the good looking teams. Harold Reynolds actually picked the Royals to win their division. I don't think they are a fluke.
I thought Kimbrel will be like Randy Myers but I was wrong as Kimbrel is better and he has closed out a World Series before. What a phenomenal signing.
I'm pretty much lockstep with Connor, except I have Webb in Don't Trust just ahead of Baumann. I get the argument for Maybe Trust, but to me we've seen three different Webb's, and it's hard to feel comfortable when he's up.
If Kimbrel can be good throughout the year, I'd like to see the team pick up his option for next year if they can convince him that he might not be the primary closer. He would be insurance in case there are any issues with Bautista coming off TJ, and could close on days Bautista isn't available
Who needs muscles. I remember Kent Tekulve as a pitcher. He had no muscles so there.

I'd love to hear about what kind of draft picks we can expect as compensation for Burns, Santander, possibly O'Hearn.
O’Hearn has a team option for next year so he won’t get a qualifying offer. The O’s would just exercise the option and then go from there. Santander is probably not getting a QO but Burnes definitely will. That would probably net the O’s an “end of first round” compensation pick if Burnes declines the QO and signs elsewhere.

Agreed 💯 on your bullpen trust rankings. I think it is time to let Baumann go. Maybe someone else can figure him out, but he's just not cutting it here.
If they are going for a World Series they still need to trade for at least a top-four pitcher. Can they do that with one of their top five prospects (Stowers, Norby?) and one of the 27-29 year old starters and/or backups). Like everyone, I like Means and Bradish, but I think the expectations for them are way too high.
Does John Means have minor league options similar to Kyle Bradish? Could the O’s option him after his rehab stint?
