    Sounds good. I have a 5 blade 366 in mine with a 3rd Gen manifold on stock fuel. Love the sound and the whistle definitely increased a whole bunch

      @zero1898, what modifications did you have to do to get the 366 to fit? What are the full specs on the s366?

    • @zero1898
      @zero1898 Před 4 měsíci

      @nathansuttenfield7233 it's a standard S366 with a housing from a BD kit so it was a direct bolt on application. I took the housing from Stainless Diesel and sold the BD kit to a buddy. He has it on a 5.9 and loves it

    I’ve been thinking about getting that 5 blade 468. Currently have a 467 like your previous. For oil feed and drain I have the full send diesel lines and they’ve been great. Before I was dealing with the oil feed leaking. Ended up dumping a gallon of oil in my driveway lol

      I’ve been looking for a new feed and drain line kit. I’ll have to check them out.

    100% over injectors and a 12mm pump will support about 1000hp, maybe a little less, but then you'll be running out of air with that S468. Turba Tom made 1050ish at the wheel with a S476 so keep that in mind for comparison. If I were you, I'd be focusing on next getting a built trans. You've heard it before but I'll say it again: you're on borrowed time with your mods and a stock 68rfe. One of my friends, just a few days ago, broke his input shaft off into his converter. He has a setup a lot like you, but with a slightly smaller turbo. He doesn't drive it crazy either. Happened while driving home from work doing 55 mph.
    About a month prior, _another_ friend who just had a delete fried his trans. I told him to be mindful after tuning, but he didn't listen. Now they're both spending between $6-$7 on built units... and they went with a more affordable builder. Top tier built 68s come in around $13k but will reliably hold around 1000 whp (some claim 1200 whp). Just know that those higher power level transmissions use softer clutches which wear out faster than a more conventional one. So, depending on use, you could be looking at getting the trans rebuilt every 20k-40k miles instead of 100k+.
    Getting into a 48re swap is going to be _at least_ $13k. Really this should only be a consideration if you're planning on making over 1000whp or building a race truck. As far as an Allison swap, right now ATS says it's upwards of $15k, requires modified drive shafts, and is still in the development stage. This also may or may not include the cost to build the Allison as the stock Allison will fail from just a stock 6.7 Cummins, so you could be looking at a few grand more than the initial $15k.
    My 2¢: I'd set a goal of something like 700-750 whp, if you can live with that "little" of power. Get a properly built 68rfe from a reputable builder and the exact injector/CP3 you need to make this... something like a 50% overs and single 10mm. This setup will spool the S467.7 or that 5 Blade great and be a blast to drive.
    Hope this helps!

      It's not often I see sound advice on CZcams or forums for that matter. But having built multiple high hp cummins, i have to agree with everything said here. Very good advice.

      U can put triples on your truck and the best trans money can buy. But at the end of the day it’s all about good tuning. Finding someone with the knowledge to properly dyno tune, your truck. Check out
      Firepunk diesel. He knows his shit and consistently has trucks making between 800 and 1100 at the wheels on stealth 64s and tater built 63/67s vgts

    Randy's Transmission. Best built 68rfe in the business. Buy once, cry once- truer words were never spoken. You'll probably spend 10k on a 48 swap. 8 will get you a stage 2 Randy's 68rfe. I'm still on a stock charger, with fuel 500ish to the tire, but my stage 2 never whimpers. Thanks for the content!

    I would go dual cp3's over a single stroker. That way you are splitting the load between two and then you can go however big you want in the future.

  • @sethmohr6400
    @sethmohr6400 Před 2 lety

    Truck sounds great. If you want 1000 hp I’d do dual cp3 but if you’re going for 800’s I’d do a 10 mm!
    Headlights look great btw!

    Have you considered a tubular merge manifold? IDK much about diesels, but stuff like that helps a lot in cars. And I know these are typically VGT, but can't you also combine it with twin scroll? VGT twin scroll with a 5/9 blade combo and a tubular, divided exhaust manifold would be wild.
    EDIT: Oh, I see that it IS twin scroll. NICE.

    Hey man I live in Blanchard, my 2015 ram is currently down for a trans lol. I’m stock with tunes, but going to go with dorryn McConnell for a transmission, he’s out of okmulgee and is a 68rfe genius, his builds are pretty damn stout and reasonably priced relatively speaking.
    You should check out the cp3 bag of parts too, I don’t have experience with them but a friend of mine did it to his cp3 and said it was a noticeable difference. For 500 bucks it may hold you over while you’re saving for a transmission

    I'd never do dual pumps again. A 12mil pump will have enough fuel to scatter the stock bottom end.
    Also, the 5 blade wheels are really a wide open deal. The gains are only at high shafts speeds. Even though the wheel is a smidge lighter, you lose spoolup and boost at lower shaft speeds. You'll also notice more drive pressure from the higher shaft speeds. It's an all out race wheel. I bet on a dyno the 67.7 has more average hp and tq

    Buy a 4th gen put a 2nd gen manifold 3rd gen transmission and delete all the emissions like previous generations. Sounds easier to buy a 3rd gen. 48re swap is like 10k from what I see

      Fair point. However I believe the 6.7 is non comparable to the 5.9. Just a better platform to build from.

    • @okc_garage
      @okc_garage  Před 2 lety

      Foxxx i see your point as well. I just love the amenities of modern technology in these trucks along with the 4th gen interior. It can be a double edge sword as well. I’d rather have the 6.7 Cummins and a 48RE but hey it is what it is.
