we can read and recite but we can't speak it, Quranic Arabic is classical Arabic and are not spoken Arabic...its like latin and Italian language...you dont speak Latin to an Italian...they will think you are weird or a priest or something. Most Muslim in the world 80% do not speak Arabic, but they do know how to recite the Quran by words just like how some Christians who know how to recite latin leturgy and prayers but not really understand what it really means or dont really speak latin. We do learn some Arabic but not enough to speak it and most Muslim country and nation no matter what their language is usually their native language have some borrowed Arabic phrases in their vocabulary like Urdu, Indonesian, Malaysian and Turkish have a lot of Arabic loanwords in it. To actually understand what we read we usually read the translation of the Quran in our language but to recite it in prayer and in religious ceremony we must do it in Arabic. If you go to Islamic School since kindergarten then yes you will learn Arabic but most Muslim countries have secular education and Arabic language is a choice not compulsory to learn. Arabs is only 25% of Muslim population in the world the largest Muslim population are South Asian and South east Asian which is the Malays/Indonesian and Indian subcontinent like Pakistan and Bangladesh and Indian.@@alexandrorocca7142

The Question on superiority of Arabs or non-Arabs, from a religious standpoint, this was answered very clearly within Islam.
Final sermon of the Prophet Muhammad (saw), he clearly stated that “All humanity is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab, nor does a non-Arab have any superiority over an Arab; White does not have superiority over Black, nor does Black have superiority over White; [none have superiority over another] except by piety and good actions.”

A country doesn't make you Muslim, the only thing that can make a person an actual Muslim is the al Quran. So it doesn't matter where you are from, if you follow the al Quran then you are a Muslim. I have seen many Americans who have much stronger Iman( believing in Allah swt) than Arabian people. The difference is how much does a person believe and practice in his or her life.

this is a shallow view. this is just an opinion. Just imagine if debates, scientific papers and discussions about the concept of belief and the concept of Islamic rules for centuries were represented or fulfilled only based on shallow opinions. Those who refer to this are not wise and those who make this event are also not wise if there is no disclaimer warning and clear objectives. Let's take the example of polygamy, Hijab and Prayer. That concept doesn't match the video if you just limit it to just this video.

This is what they are trying to say... Laws around the rest of the world are not based on Islam alone but cultural influence as well. Iranians even when Hijab was not mandatory before 1980, 70% of them wore Hijab, even some that were not muslim. That is a culture thing, most arab and some African cultures adopt some form of head covering, the same as in India and Pakistan. This Judgement and misconceptions about Iran are annoying and usually all come from Iranians who have never lived there and grew up in the West. Most of these Iranians fled because they were part of the previous illegitimate SHAH regime who was put in power by a US coup in 1953. Travel there yourself and the majority including women have no issue with wearing a scarf over their heads. The small minority that do have to deal with it as the majority support it. Thats how countries work. If you honestly believe that the majority of Iranians want a change of Government because of Hijab you are sorely mistaken. Where is the "freedom of choice" then?? All countries have laws and if it is supported by the majority, outsiders should accept it and move on. There are many laws in many countries that some deem oppressive etc but they respect it. Always great to see more people learn more about other people.
And there are lots of things in Islam that have similar equivalents in Christianity and Judaism, which might be more familiar to western europeans and americans.
For example Ramadan. Christianity has lent before easter, which are the 40 days where one should fast and pray.
Muslims pray five times a day, observent Jews three times a day, and Christians between three and seven times a day.
Halal in in many ways similar to kosher. At least in terms of dietary laws. halal goes a bit further than that, but kosher can be a good analogy to get the gist.
Even how closely worldly laws are oriented on religious laws differs in Christian countries, just like in Muslim countries. And just like the christian world there are many differences and cultures.
Those are obviously just a very quick overview using comparisons with things more widely known in the west. For anyone interested I can only recommend to read up on it.

2:34 that's called Ruqyah, meaning reciting Qur'an for healing. Allah says in Qur'an (the translation of the meaning): "And We send down of the Qur’an that which is healing and mercy for the believers". Also there's an evident from the hadith that Surah/chapter al Fatiha is used for ruqyah. It's not only for issues that caused by Jinn (exorcism), but we also recite Qur'an for physical illness. Allah is As Shafi meaning The Healer, so we ask Him to heal our sicknesses by reciting His words (i.e. Qur'an).

Sweden and Greece have almost nothing in common other than religion. Also, Christianity is not a religion of European origin. Due to ethnic and geographical differences, the cultures of Muslim countries are also different from each other. For example, apart from religion, Pakistan's culture is close to India. Indonesian culture is close to Southeast Asian culture. The culture of the Turks in western Turkiye is close to the Balkans and Greece.

I doubt if there would be an expectation to pray/not pray based on the sun in those places. Would they just use regular time on the clock, or the sunrise/sunset times in a different area?

As I know you use the time for the nearest area where the sun sets and goes down. Because there is also this issue in ramadan when you fast until the sun goes down so you will look at the sunset for the nearest place

Ask them. Did you know there is even a mosque in North pole for Muslim researcher there?

they have option to choose from.
pray according to the nearest normal Muslim country.
pray according to nearest normal country.
      pray according to mecca times.
      pray according to estimate.
pray according to their home country etc
there's actually a hadith about in end of times, a war will result in the sun being blocked out for 3 years. and someone asked the prophet should we stop praying. and they were told to estimate the times and pray as best as they could.

2:00 To clarify, there are 5 daily obligatory prayers:
    1. Fajr/Subh: dawn time before sunrise
    2. Dhuhr: just after noon
    3. Asr: in the middle of the afternoon
    4. Maghrib: after sunset
    5. Isha: at nighttime
The timing of prayers varies from country to country (stipulated by the local Islamic council), even in the same time zones. E.g. Fajr time in KL currently starts at 6:19am, but in Singapore it's just before 6.

    • @wewenang5167
      @wewenang5167 Před 3 měsíci +26

its true the real reason for it is to married widows and orphan after a war but the people misused it after time. That is why in many Muslim country its actually hard to get approval to do polygamy, not only you have to be fair but if you have 4 wife you have to buy houses and all thugs in it for for all the the wife and the children EQUALLY...unless you are a millionaire no Muslim man would want that. If its just about lust and sex, its cheaper to just hired a prostituted and just be like western people who sleep around like every night with any girl and on tinder. The largest polygamist nation in the world is not even Muslim country but African Christians countries and the USA. Go figured...the Mormon still have the largest polygamist population in the world, not Muslim.

Also adding to the other comments, I heard back then it was normal to marry A LOT of women, some people even had 20+ wives so Islam actually gave a limit to that. Islam said “only” 4 and that only if you can treat all of them COMPLETELY EQUAL and not just for your “pleasure” but to take care of the widows and their children.

    • @HappyBeezerStudios
      @HappyBeezerStudios Před 3 měsíci +13

@@wewenang5167 yeah, that's the thing I got from it when reading up on islamic polygamy. If you have four wives, you also have to be a good husband to four wives. So only do it if you can manage that.
In general I see that with a lot of islamic rules. They are there and you're supposed to follow them, but there are exceptions if you're unable to.
Like how every muslim man should do the hajj, but only if they are physically and financially capable to do so and can support their families during the pilgrimage.
Or how every muslim should observe ramadan, but there are exceptions for the elderly, the sick, the pregnant, etc.
Or how eating non halal food might be required to survive, because preserving one's life is of higher importance.

What the Indonesian woman said is 100% correct, Indonesia is predominantly Muslim but Indonesia does not apply Islamic law as a whole,Indonesia is a country of Pancasila, "bhinneka tunggal Ika"(Even though they are different, they are one soul),Each region or city in Indonesia applies its own religious law rules and some other cities do not apply religious law rules, for example:Bali applies Hindu law to Balinese citizens but not to immigrants, foreign tourists and non-Hindus.Aceh City applies Islamic law to Acehnese citizens but does not apply to non-Muslims, immigrants and foreign tourists,And many more cities in Indonesia apply the rules of religious law and customary law to their own citizens in accordance with their respective religions and customs.

Hei dont lies. Indonesian uses National Law. Indonesia recent law that criminalize Zinah (not only prostitution) is national law and any Indonesian and even foreigner living in Indonesia should abide it. No Hindu law is applied in Bali. In Aceh they apply Islamic law to all of the people. You must wear Hijab in Aceh regardless you are Muslim or Non Muslim (I have different interpretation on this as I believe Hijab should depend on the woman choice by seeing the verse in Quran which said "there should not be any compulsion in religion". ). The punishment is similar if some one made 3 criminal acts (stealing, killing, zinah).
Duh only these 3 criminal actions (Stealing, Zinah, Killing). In term of marriage, Shariah Bank, Heritage, etc Islamic Law is also used like in Indonesian law it is not a criminal action or against law if we share our parent asset based on Islamic Law where men get double than women. That is just an example. Regarding Pancasila, the first principle of Pancasila is BELIEVE IN ONE AND ONLY GOD WHICH IS BASICALLY TAUHID. Fourth sila/principle is Democracy and suits with Islamic System shown in Quran Surah As-Syura (Consultation) even the word MUSYAWARAH is derived from the word in As-Syura (Arabic- Consultation).
What actually Islamic Law ? GAMBLING IN INDONESIA FOR EXAMPLE IS CRIMINAL ACT AND FORBIDDEN TO ALL CITIZENS WHILE FOR MALAYSIA IS ONLY FOR MUSLIM IS FORBIDDEN. The different with Indonesia national law is just the severety of the punishment FOR JUST 3 CRIMINAL ACTIONS (STEALING, KILLING, ZINAH). For exmple, killing other person based on Indonesian law can put the criminal into life in prison or death sentence while Islamic law said the criminal should be killed or forgiven (if the victim families forgive). Stealing in Indonesia will get punish even into life in sentence if the amount of the money being stolen in very high while Islamic law said the stealer hand should be cut and then they free. Zinah is already a criminal action in Indonesia based on new law AND APPLIED TO ALL CITIZENS REGARDLESS THEIR RELIGION. Not implementing Islamic Law just because different with punishment severety to respond only the 3 actions ?
