Start off from the basics: Read the Quran in your home language translation Read about the stories of the different prophets (peace be upon them) Read about the life of the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) But remember: find your information from Muslim sites as there is A LOT of misinformation about Islam. May Allah guide you to the truth ❤
Read the quran with translation If you dont get any verse then watch the tafseer on youtube Follow some scholar or watch their video you will get knowledge about islam And if you think your family would ve upset if they saw you practicing islam then do it secretly for a while until you get enough knowledge about islam

He believes in a opinion of Music being forbidden due to a certain Hadith of the Prophet ﷺ including Musical Instruments to other Haram Stuffs (i.e Zina, Intoxicants & Silk) However not all scholars agree to the authenticity of this Ahadeeth since it has no connections to the Holy Quran & it contradicts other Ahadeeths permitting Music & it's instruments so Ibn Hazm (one of the respected Islamic scholars) said: "All the Ahadiths claiming the prohibition of Music were invented." Another scholar who also disagreed to the prohibition of Music: Imam al-Ghazali (another respected Islamic scholar): reported several hadith and came to the conclusion that *music in and of itself is permitted,* saying: "All these Ahadith are reported by al-Bukhari and singing and playing are not haram." He also references a narration from *Khidr,* wherein a *favorable opinion* of music is expressed. There are more opinions abt Music & i follow the most likely choice of opinion being Music is not prohibited as long as the content & intention of it is wholesome & not to distract people from the deen.
