@Canada Dream Record you're not allowed to talk about Arabic if you don't understand it, Quran is in Arabic and it will stay like that, the copies you have in English are just translations of the meaning, no Muslim on earth will call it Quran, so when a person with knowledge higher than you in a certain language explan something you listen, and no it does not mean to beat the shit out of your wife.

      Not so fast.
A man can beat his wife.
A man can have 4 wives
A 54 year old man can marry a 6 year old girl.
A man gets twice the inheritance that women get.
You need 2 women to risk the testimony of one man.
That's because Muhammad himself said women's are deficient in intelligence.
This book isn't from a God... It's from the minds of 7th century men.

      You're living in ignorance.
Rape of female prisoners is allowed (verse 4:24).
You are allowed to beat your wife even if you think she might disobey you (verse 4:34). You need 2 female witnesses in court compared to 1 male witness. Women get half inheritance that men get. It's a misogynist religion.
Read the Quran and hadith. In the age of information, ignorance is a choice.

Tianyi Wang. I did not say other religion is bad and neither Muslims do. One has to look at a religion specially Islam with a open mind without prejudice. You then see the black and white about religion. Christianity, Jesus is three in one and dead, no wonder 80% of Christians have given up and don't practice, Hinduism, 30 million gods, confusion again, which is the right one. as soon as God looks and behaves like humans he is no more God. God for us is a deity the utmost supreme. Not a God being born and be God, son, sprit. A god with many hands with animal and three heads. A God that need to eat and use the toilet.

I cannot think of Almighty God Allah actually giving men permission to beat their wives (or any woman, for that matter). Prophet Muhammad (Allah's Peace and Blessings be upon him) never, ever beat any woman. Mufti Menk gave an excellent explanation on the issue of wife beating. However, if the Prophet were here among us, he would give the best explanation of the verse. Hands down! No argument there!
I highly recommend that people go on the internet and look up the article, "The Verse of Abuse Or the Abused Verse" by Sheikh Sa'dullah Khan. The last time I checked, he was the Director of the Islamic Center of Irvine.

Many people so quick to judge and say the Qur'an condones women bearing but they haven't got the intelligence to actually search for the actual true translation. I'm a revert but even I know that you will only get the true meaning of the message by researching the Arabic words
The English can't get close enough.
People need to do their research and study before having an opinion.
May Allah open up your eyes to the beautiful truth of our Qur'an

AKb80 @true meaning of the message by researching the Arabic words
That means that Allah is not the creator of whole mankind and not almighty.
Only approx 24 % of Muslims have enough knowledge of Arabic to understand it
(reciting verses from the Qur'an is of no importance).
These 24 % equal approx. 6 % of the world population.
An "almighty" creator of the whole mankind proved that he's not capable to clarify his message for the rest of the 94 % of worlds population.
      Surah 14:4
We have not sent a messenger except in the language of his people to clarify ˹the message˺ for them. Then Allah leaves whoever He wills to stray and guides whoever He wills. And He is the Almighty, All-Wise.
@People need to do their research and study before having an opinion.
Unlike blind believers who think logically - after doing research and study.

Your Muslim husband must beat you right! These are scriptures only the devil wants. That's why you don't understand them. Christian men cannot beat their women whatsoever. When I married my Christian wife for I'm a Christian man I made a vow to Almighty God to cherish and love my wife till death do us part. I have never ever raised my hand to her. Almighty God would tell her to divorce me for my wife is God's daughter. If I commit adultery I broke a commandment and my wife can leave me. God the father would never let a man hurt his daughter. Jesus Christ is a loving God who would never allow his daughters to be beaten, humiliated or their husband commit adultery. Jesus Christ is king of peace and love

@shahwaiz niazi thank you for taking the time to find this 37-pages long document. All I can understand from this simply confirms what was in my original question: why do God almighty would leave such an ambiguity for man to disentangle? Why didn't God, in his wisdom didn't simply say: don't beat eachother!
      Because in ambiguity lies control.
Things can be done in the name of one rule, or the other, depending on the need.
There are too many contradictions in Islam to be believed of divine nature.

    • @nzinuccia
      @nzinuccia Před 3 lety +1

@shahwaiz niazi Ok, understood! No wife beating in Islam. What is the purpose of the verse then, and why isn't there one for man?

    • @nzinuccia
      @nzinuccia Před 3 lety +1

@shahwaiz niazi your long reply reiterated what was already said.
You mentioned your sheikh, meaning that you neither were sure of what to do, and had to seek for advice.
This simply reaffirms my point: why a God should leave things to be interpreted.
Further, you didn't answer my question: why isn't there any mention of how a woman shall make her husband come to his right mind in case of misbehaviour.
Or men are flawless, and don't have to be guided?
Or, Islam is so homofobic that doesn't even contemplate a woman guiding a man? Please answe to this, don't repeat me the same concept over and over; it would just show that you have no argument. And it doesn't need to be long either. Universal concepts are simple to express, while long explanations tend to blurr the truth.

Here is a quote translated into english that comes from the Quran.
Men are in charge of women by [right of] what Allah has given one over the other and what they spend [for maintenance] from their wealth. So righteous women are devoutly obedient, guarding in [the husband's] absence what Allah would have them guard. But those [wives] from whom you fear arrogance - [first] advise them; [then if they persist], forsake them in bed; and [finally], strike them. But if they obey you [once more], seek no means against them. Indeed, Allah is ever Exalted and Grand.
That can be found on the 34th verse of chapter 4 (sūrat l-nisāa).
Yes -beating your wife is permissible.

Muhammad (SAW) said, “Do not beat the female servants of Allah.”
Umar(RA) replied “But our women have emboldened against us.”
Muhammad (SAW) then quoted the verse which tells you to warn her then forsake her bed then beat her lightly.
Later on, the wives came to Muhammad (SAW) and complained about their husbands treating them like this. Muhammad (SAW) said, “These men are not the best among the believers.”
Muhammad (SAW) also said before, “The best of you are the best in behaviour, and the best of you are the best to your wives.”

Where does the verse stated beating wife? Lets read together (in english translation)
Men are to protect the rights of WOMEN, because bestowed ALLAH some of them over others and because they spend from their wealth. So righteous WOMEN obedient, guarding in absence what Allah would have them guard. But those from whom you fear ill conduct - [first] advise them; [then if they persist], forsake them in place of stay; and overlook them so if they obey you. Then do not seek against them a way. Indeed, ALLAH is ever Exalted and Grand.
First off, where does the word WIFE ever mention in the above verse? The genuine believers who believe that the Quran contains all the details, with no ifs or buts, will know that
    1. ALLAH's assurance that the Quran is fully detailed and that nothing has been left out of the Book:
Shall I seek other than ALLAH as a lawmaker when it is He who has brought down to you the Book fully detailed? 6:114
We did not leave anything out of the Book. 6:38
    2. ALLAH err and forgot?
This cannot be the case because we read in the Quran that ALLAH, be praised, does not forget:
He said, "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a Record. My Lord does not err, nor does He forget." 20:52
If the verse is to explain on wife beating then, the word Imra'ah is used instead of Annisak, isn it? Quran in 11;71 - used the word "Imra'ah" with regards to Abraham's wife. But in 04:34, it is not the case! The word Nisak is used, showing the verse is with regards to all WOMEN in general, whom men are to protect their rights, can be one's mother, sisters, aunties as mention in 04:23, OR any free women as mention in 04:24 OR any women your right hands possess as mention in 04:25!

Saleh Farman @ Where does the verse stated beating wife? Lets read together
Whom are you trying to fool?
Quran 4:34 always includes beating of wives is advised. There are different translations with the same meaning:
      strike them
      hit them
      beat them
      discipline them
Denying this content of the verse 4:34 is nothing but LYING.
      Shame on you!

There is a contricdiction in the Quran. It says to beat and you say to tap. Allah says beat and this disobedient man says tap. I say disobedient because he wants to change the verse to fit what he thinks is right. Allah says to beat leave that word in the Quran and don't change.

Where is your evidence for tayamamum? The word used here is "idhrubuhunnu" which has the root word daraba which means to beat, strike, hit...if it means to go away then it should mean "Idhribu[an]hunna... nevertheless, just because you tap the earth during tayamamum doesn't mean verse 4:34 Is referring to the same.. of you say so then you are committing a logical fallacy. Why do you say woman are much more delicate? We aren't talking about women in general but women who are disobedient towards their husbands. So you comparing this with doing tayammum is rubbish. The Quran is strongly stating that women should be hit here.
Where does the Quran say the woman is allowed to nullify the marriage if she was beaten ? It doesn't. If the husband beat his wife for no reason, then yes she could do something about it. But if she was beaten due to her being disobedient, then why would she nullify her marriage. ? What good reason does she have to support her case ? Mufti menk is being very illogical here and he speaks about common sense. Stop blaming the kuffar now...How convenient.
He says one word can have more than one meaning, we realize this Mr menk but the definitions are context dependent. You cannot twist things here.
To look at the sahabas? Show us examples Mr menk .
In summary - mufti menk tried his beast to twist the primitive values held by Muslims just so that it looks nice in this modern era.

You are right mohammed ! This man clearly lying for trying to turn the verse into something of '' socially '' acceptable. The word ''idribuhunnu'' is present in many verses of quran ; For exemple at surat 47 verse 27, allah say : Then how [will it be] when the angels take them in death, *striking* their faces and their backs?
      The word use for *striking them* is '' yadriboona'' (يَضْرِبُونَ) its litteraly mean strike or beat ! It is the exact same word use in surat 4 verse 34 ''dribunna '' ! Its also use at surat 47 verse 4 ;
[...] those who disbelieve, strike them'' ! '' darba '' ! This is the same root. In these verses, dribunna just mean beat them ! Muslim are just too ashamed for admit that a lot of verses of quran are violent

You guys what you are not able to understand is that menk is using tayamum hadith from ammaar bin yasir the word اضرب و اضربوهن is same word but اضربوهن has its subjects mentioned as ضمير بارز pronouns waw and hunna but menk saying that how to beat if we want to beat we beat as the messenger says he say in hadith beat her with miswak is miswak beating or doing romantic that's what we need to understand

First of all mufti assumed that this verse means issues such unruly misbehaving, evil things or bad characteristics who is to say which issue requires this to be used.
Secondly what should a women do if a man is doing all these things, can she hit him with a miswak or a stick?
Finally how will hitting or according to you tapping will help in any case ? Name a single case in history where men hit his wife and suddenly all the problems got solved they lived happliy ever after...i mean really
stop misleading people and clearly say that some rulings don't apply to this day and age? Men that I have seen actually think it is ok to hit becasue they think thier religion permits them.who is to say when tapping will turn to slapping..
