- Hey y’all!!
I wanted to make this video, to share how i manage to draw hard things. I used to feel intimidated by some reference drawings and other new things that i had to learn abt in the beginning of my artschool Journey. So i wanted to share the way of thinking that improved my drawings. I hope these tips help u in some way. MWUAH💓🥳

If you get frustrated and think you "cant" take a break and come back to it. I've had many drawings where I felt like that. When I finished I was very satisfied I didn't give up.
So true! Sometimes it takes months to get back to a drawing but the results are always worth it🥳
Your video just popped into my recommended content today, and I just want to say thank you for the positivity and reassuring way you went about your message. I'm a freelance car artist, and I've been in a slump lately. While I know the fundamentals of drawings vehicles, I rarely ever draw the same one twice for the clients who seek me out. So even though I know how to start, each time it's a new learning experience because wheels will look different, or a grille, or body lines. It's constantly like starting over, which is educationally rewarding but can be really scary too because I'll sit and look at the canvas and think, "WHY DON'T I KNOW HOW TO DO THIS??? 😭😭😩😩" But mindset is super important. We all need to shift it a little more to believe in ourselves during rough art moments. And a little kindness towards ourselves goes a long way too. We aren't failure just because we haven't figured out everything 🩷
Woww!! 🥹🫶🏾This rlly warms my heart bc that was my exact goal. Im so happy u found this video helpful & that it resonated With u. The fact that u never draw the same one but still manage to draw them is literally iconic!! & you’re so right, i used to always beat myself up for not being able to draw something right away but if We aren’t kind to ourselves it becomes almost impossible to draw & make mistakes to improve. Thank u for taking ur time to share your own experiences, i also think its so cool that you’re a freelance artist i commend u for that!! Sending u love & my best wishes 🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾💓💗💗💗🫂
Yessssss !!!! Try, Try again....Love ❤ YOUR message .🥰
Aww! Thank u! ☺️💓🙏🏾That means a lot
ahhhhh! im so glad i came across this, im currently practicing from bargue plates and pushing through that feeling of intimidation and overwhelm. this was the extra nudge of encouragement i needed
Omg!! That makes me so happy to hear, it truly means a lot bc i wanted this video to help & motivate someone in that way. Glad u found it helpful 🫂I’m wishing u the best on ur art journey 😃🫶🏾💗
Brilliant really great video inspiring 🖼️👨🎨
@@user-lf6nh5cj6p Aww! Thank u so much 🙏🏾super happy to hear that 😊
Pt 1 is something that many people have probably already heard a bunch of times, but coming from you, a skilled artist, means a lot - it really is all about how well you have internalized that message, because if you're unconfident, you're not gonna try too hard
So true, bc literally just a few months ago I was feeling rlly down about my art and I kept putting myself down. And even my teachers said that they weren’t seeing all the negative things that I was seeing and that I had actually improved. So I started to rlly think abt how my own perception of my work was holding me back and focused on changing the way I think. I’m glad the message resonated with u & thank u for ur comment 🫶🏾🫶🏾
🔥🔥🔥 I like ur personality
@@PaulAmedu Thank u so much 🥳🙏🏾

Aww! Thank u so much I’m super happy to hear that ❤️🫂🫶🏾
I actually ended up dropping out of art school due to having a very low and insecure mindset, but I wish to go back in the future, for now I've decided to teach myself and it is quite challenging...so honestly thank you for this! It's much needed and incredibly inspiring. Your art is amazing and I wish you well :).
Thank you sm for sharing, i totally relate. I almost dropped out last year bc of my doubts, insecurities and the fact that I was extremely financially unstable. So I understand u, I’m glad u want to go back and I believe in u, u got this!! Learning by urself is hard especially when there’s no one to give u an honest critique. I like to watch “the drawing database” here on CZcams bc it’s very informative & helps u learn a lot & it feels like an actual class.
I’ll list a few channels that helped me practice before & during artschool:
@SIMPLIFYDrawingandPainting
@thedrawingdatabase8743
@stephenbaumanartwork
@proko
@stevenmichaelhampton
@yupariartist
@theodoradanielacapat298 (one of my teachers 😄)
@cesarsantos
I wish u the best!!❤️❤️
@@keren.socadjo ohh wow, I appreciate your vulnerability, understanding, and the fact that you’ve listed resources I could use for practice. Thank you again lol! :) I appreciate this a lot

U welcome bro🫶🏾

Do it multiple times til it becomes less scary 😅💓

I feel like pretty much everyone can draw or paint anything BUT if you’re skilled (or like lucky/ talented) it’ll just go quicker.
Like if you don’t know what you’re doing your process is gonna take a lot more detours but you can still get to the same result.
Like if its possible to solve it with brute force tactics there is probably an easier and more elegant solution and I can find some path in between - I’m not going to be the best but i’m also not relying on tracing and paint by numbers
so basically you and I can definitely undertake any project no matter how daunting and as we figure our process out for this project along the way we will learn
something that also helped me is I decided to 100% stop judging other people (like their lives and artworks) and then like magic I stopped judging myself. Like I was no longer scared of what a more skilled future me might think of this amateurish attempt and I also was kinder to past me who was doing ok for that part of her journey
anyway thanks for your video x
Thank u for ur comment! I love reading comments hihi. & yes!! I agree it is definitely a skill that can be developed over time, I’ve seen ppl develop their skill quickly by having commitment & will. I read the bargue book recently & the author drew bargues at an atelier without having much prior experience & was able to get better at drawing despite not doing it in the past so It is possible for anyone to draw for sure.
I rlly like what u said about not judging. Cause it’s also the fear of being judged that can hold one back, we often fear other’s opinions simply bc we have our own. So that is definitely helpful, you become way more relaxed & not so focused on what others think. That’s when u can truly let go and be open to learning new things.
Thanks again for the comment!
Loved reading your opinion on this🫶🏾
