learnlooklocat... I'm really looking forward to collaborating with Learn Look Locate. I think it’s imperative that as physicians, we collaborate with patient advocates and healthcare stakeholders to educate patients. And arguably now more than ever, patients are looking at digital means to obtain information, whether it is a review on a platform, whether it's a website. So there are some physicians such as myself who are very into digital media and really believe in the power of how we can educate patients via digital methods.
You know, I'm a huge advocate for cutting-edge breast imaging technology as the technology in breast cancer is changing at such a rapid rate but for the better for patients. We are always striving for increased accuracy. We have a thirst for accuracy for our patients and early detection. So we're always trying to find new ways to find the greatest technology that we can for patients to ensure that we can detect cancers at its earliest notice.
Dr. Amy K. Patel is a Board-Certified Radiologist who specializes in Breast Imaging. She is a Breast Radiologist, Medical Director of The Breast Care Center at Liberty Hospital, and Assistant Professor of Radiology at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine.
Dr. Patel is a graduate of the combined BA/MD accelerated program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She completed her Diagnostic Radiology Residency at the University of Kansas-Wichita where she served as the first female chief resident in an all-male program. She completed her Breast Imaging Fellowship at Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology Washington University in Saint Louis

The five-year survival rate for women who catch their cancer early is nearly 100%. Here’s an important statistic. Many women do not perform self-breast exams or see a doctor for regular screenings. Learn Look Locate LLC wants to highlight the work of organizations around the world that are working to promote early detection of breast cancer. We will feature stories of women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer and share their journeys.
There are several ways to diagnose breast cancer, including mammograms, biopsies, and ultrasounds. Once breast cancer is diagnosed, there are a few treatment options available, including surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy. The best way to treat breast cancer is to catch it early and to get the best treatment possible.
There is a strong community of women who have been affected by breast cancer. In addition, there are a number of organizations and resources available to help women find the support they need.
