I have NEVER seen wrist bands like this before…. I’ve only had the paper ones that you have to rip off lol
The use these at most festivals now at least in the US. Like big festivals. I’ve gotten these types of wristbands from EDC, Life is Beautiful, HARD, Coachella, etc

They use them because they are waterproof and durable. U also can't lose them

I've also seen someone wear a zip lock baggie and slip the band over it and it just slides right off

Use a straw and cut a slit in it. Put it around the band closest to your hand and move the black lock nut over the straw. Comes right off
I just never tighten them to the point that I can’t slip them off if I need to
