Wrist Bone "Out Of Place" Chiropractic Adjustment

    The prevailing theory in chiropractic and other manual medicine fields these days is that there is no such thing as bones "out of place."
    While the term "out of place" is an oversimplification, here we see a case that shows that they can misalign - often visibly - and more importantly, that they can be corrected through proper, specific chiropractic adjustments.
    This example is no fluke. I see and correct these nearly daily. I chose this example because it was clearly visible and because Leda was open to me taking and posting this video.
    Other "visible" misalignments that we commonly address and correct include bones of the hand/wrist, the shoulder, foot/ankle bones and that dreaded "hump" at the base of the neck.
    "Posture" is actually just a term referring to the overall alignment of the spine (and lower extremities). Practitioners that don't recognize that bones misalign will not be able to acheive the postural and extremity corrections we correct regularly.

    I got this kind of bump 5 years ago after falling, since then my wrist has been weak. As a piano player I still had to manage somehow. I couldn't bend it without hurting. And now, just the other day, I fell ice skating and like magic - my wrist is better than ever and bump is gone!

    Are chiropractors that can do wrist adjustments rare? I am trying to find one who can do the kind of stuff you did in this video as well as realign my jaw from TMJ but every chiropractor I go to around here claims they can do it and then end up only working on my spine

    Can it still be done if the injury happened years ago? Will it make the process any more difficult? I was in my second year of high school when it happened and I graduated about a year and a half ago. When it first happened I had xrays done on it twice but they claimed it was just a sprain and sent me away. Ever since then I haven't gone to anyone about it and the pain has just stayed. I should have tried to figure out what was up earlier but just never have until I came across this video.

    @Allen Bonilla: My wrist bone was put out of place in 1996 in a little forklift accident.
    It was stiff for a while so that I couldn't flex my wrist back but in time I am able to flex it back to an extent.
    I just can't flex it back all the way and there is a little pain when I do pushups because of the limitation.
    I received an X-Ray but they said my wrist was fine.
    I was like, "HUH???"
    "How is that?"
    Can my wrist be popped back into place after these many years?

    Even if I can't tell if that "bump" is hard or soft, it seems that it is not a "bone out of place" but a ganglion: a synovial herniation coming from the joints between the two lines of carpal bones and usually protruding on the dorsal surface of the wrist.
    What you achieved is just a cavitation inside different joints; hard to tell which one.

    • @AllenBonillaDC
      @AllenBonillaDC  Před 7 lety +10

      Often you will get a ganglion in association with this misalignment. May look similar but the feel is completely different.

      @thapeloheath Před 6 lety +1

      Even in chiropractic circles? "The prevailing theory in chiropractic and other manual medicine fields these days is that there is no such thing as bones "out of place." That is surprising and mildly upsetting to me. I will keep my eyes open for research on this subject, although maybe there has never been much funding for such. I do often see ganglia or cysts on the surface of joints, but when a bone is protruding where it should not be the fact is sometimes completely obvious. It has so often appeared, even on my own body which allows me extensive opportunity to test and examine, and the relief of realignment is unquestionable.
      For weeks after one injury i could only breathe shallowly, and to do otherwise caused a stabbing pain under one side of my sternum. I could only sleep flat on my back on a hard level surface (although this detail was not much hardship since it was already something i did occasionally by choice). After bicycling one day (holding tension through my back and relaxing the upper chest) i got an adjustment from a chiropractor who realigned the rib that had been pinching soft tissue in the center of my chest. Or at least that's our best guess of what happened. If not, then wow! Some ganglion that must've been!
      Never had a recurrence.
      What other explanations do 'they' have for what appears to be palpable misalignment? Has the profession caved to the mainline medical superstition of considering scoliosis, for example, some kind of vodou curse to be treated in all cases with painkiller potions or surgical barbarism?

      Go to the hospital and get a surgery and pass out during the surgery then they will bring the bone or bones back into the place for 3 or 2 hours you will wakeup when it's fixed, while the surgery you will say oyyyy! Because of the pass out. If you choose cutting body of you will feel the pain cause there will be no pass out. Choose pass out then they will bend and pull and push your arm to get the bones/bone back into the place. My brother is in the hospital right now and doing the same thing but he will say aghhhh while the surgery of the pass out because I'm Muslim. If you're not Christian you will say ahhh if you are Christian you will probably say out,that's what my mom said.

    • @AllenBonillaDC
      @AllenBonillaDC  Před 6 lety +2

      It would be very hard to do though - like trying to turn off a light switch that was already off until it broke - easier to do on accident than it is on purpose!
      If you did you could potentially damage the joint.

    • @Maggie22002
      @Maggie22002 Před 6 lety +3

      Thank you for your reply. The reason I asked is because I had X-Rays done at my Chiro & he misread them. He claimed the Carpal Bones In each hand were off by a few centimeters- the exact same in each hand. I am right hand dominant. He then did the procedure that you show above. I saw him for this for a month. Yes, he would do It until he heard that crack. I then took the X-Rays to a hand specialist who told me the bones In each hand were NORMAL. So I didn't need the procedure the Chiro did. I'm not saying he did anything that damaged my hands but am really angry at the Incompetence And expense to me & my Insurance. He made a mistake & got paid for it.
      I trusted this man because he told me he sees this all the time. Which makes me wonder how many times he has made this mistake. When I wrote his medical group, his boss, who is also a Chiro, did his best at damage control. He threw out some medical terms to try to confuse me & then said the doctor did the appropriate thing. What my OT told me Is that the hand Is very different than the back & therefore you should go to a specialist whose expertise Is upper extremity & especially the hands for ANY treatment first.

      If it is actually Kienbock's then we would not do this procedure. Misalignment of wrist bones, however, has essentially the same symptoms which makes me wonder if they are different stages of the same problem. That being said, once the bone is fracturing or degenerating I would refer the patient for further evaluation.

      The wrist joint is pretty complex. Everything starts from the Grip whatever you hold, the forearm tendons and flexors muscles activate, the forearm either supinates or pronates, engaging the elbow hinge joint and it goes up till the shoulder joint. Improper form and excessive use of wrist flexion movement like wrist curl and biceps curls put the wrist, elbow and shoulder at risk.

    The flicking of the wrist adjustment is silly. It doesn’t work. My Chiro did my wrist a different way since she was taught by one of the best USA diving doctors. And it brings ur bones back to place and flicking ur wrist doesn’t even make sense. I’ve had it done both ways and the flicking doesn’t work

      Yes, with this issue there are also commonly ganglion cysts. They are related but separate and have to be dealt with independently in a particular order.

      These are differently ganglion because the fluid fill sacs rise back up after the adjustment
