  • The Carpal Boss is a small restriction in the back of the wrist. It is between the carpals and metacarpals of the hand commonly known as the carpometacarpal joint. It is something that is quite common in CrossFit athletes due to the large amount wrist mobility needed for some of the movements performed.
This short with show you some of the exercises you can perform to improve your wrist mobility.

This sounds like a repetitive motion which can be aggravating. Suggestion would be to try managing the amount of time you spend doing the repetitive activity and take regular breaks (before it becomes painful)

I am a bit late to your comment, but as a person who has a carpal boss too, i can give you some advice. Talk to your doctor about it and talk about the treatments. Carpal boss can usually be surgically removed, but in some situations it may return after surgery (however the risk of that happening is pretty low). You can also use a brace to stabilize the wrist or just wear it during sports activites. Taping works too. But there's some more advice coming from my doctor is, that if its not painful, or causing any trouble, it may be the best to just leave it alone. I wish you the best of luck with your carpal boss.
