  • Sky News host Liz Storer says the Australian eSafety Commissioner Julie Inman Grant continues going after Elon Musk with fines the billionaire has not replied to or paid because he does not give a “flying rip” about them.
“She keeps going after him,” she said.
“Last year, she slapped him with that fine of over $600,000 - he hasn’t replied or paid.
“This has been going on for almost a year now.
“If he doesn’t ‘get back to me’, she said she’s going to make it $782,000 a day, which she’ll make sure that he is charged that every day since February of 2023 … Elon Musk does not give a flying rip about this unelected bureaucrat screaming on the island of Australia.”

There is no difference between communism and socialism, except in the means of achieving the same ultimate end: communism proposes to enslave people by force, socialism - by vote. It is merely the difference between murder and suicide.
A businessman cannot force you to buy his product; if he makes a mistake, he suffers the consequences; if he fails, he takes the loss. If bureaucrat makes a mistake, you suffer the consequences; if he fails, he passes the loss on to you.
When you see that trading is done, not by consent, but by compulsion - when you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from ppl who produce nothing - when you see that money is flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors - when you see that ppl get richer by graft and by pull than by work, and your laws don't protect you against them, but protect them against you - when you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice - you may know that your society is doomed.
We are fast approaching the stage of the ultimate inversion: the stage where the government is free to do anything it pleases, while the citizens may act only by permission; which is the stage of the darkest periods of human history, the stage of rule by brute force.
Inflation is not caused by the actions of private citizens, but by the government: by an artificial expansion of the money supply required to support deficit spending. No private embezzlers or bank robbers in history have ever plundered people's savings on a scale comparable to the plunder perpetrated by the fiscal policies of statist governments.
We can evade reality, but we cannot evade the consequences of evading reality
