The thing that annoys me the most of this movie is that todd's actor looks too much older and they didn't do anything to hide that
and todd's fat for no reason at all.
My head canon is that Todd ate a god awful amount of pizza and then went on a life changing diet during the time between Granite State and Felina
They didn't do anything for Giancarlo Esposito in Better Call Saul, but he looks better for it.

If there wasn't the villian of the week feeling antagonists (the guys who made the contraption that held Jesse). I would like this movie alot more. My only real complaint is them, they should have had Jesse just running from the cops.

I really don't believe the gun Jesse found in Todd's car was real/loaded. Todd likely placed it there as a test, and Jesse passed
Especially because Todd specifically tells Jesse to look in the glove box

honestly i didn't like this movie very much. all the positives you mentioned are certainly there, and i love getting to see jesse get a fresh start, however i dont think they outweigh the facts that
1. everyone looks much older, and while i know that doesn't bother some people, it just feels very forced to me, especially the scenes with jesse interacting with walt like hes just a 20 something kid again. hes not a kid, hes a grown ass man. in the scenes after he escaped i think this actually works a little in their favor, even if its supposed to just be two years later, it shows how different the world is now metaphorically and actually. the flashbacks are just too weird tho.
2. the pacing of the movie was just kind of bad. there was no buildup, climax, nothing. i guess the shootout could be the climax but idk, all the events of the movie just seemed to be a little disjointed, even if all of them were leading up to him getting the cash to leave town. i found myself really bored during most of this movie
i think it does have its place in the breaking bad universe, but like you said at first i think it would have been perfectly fine if it didn't exist. not everything needs to have a neat and tidy ending.
The movie was made like 10 years later ofcourse Todd would age and gain weight get over it

The movie sucked stop glazing 😂 breaking bad ended with jessie in a camino driving away and this movie ended the same way but with half the movie devoted to todd 😐 your glazing
