      A whole lot of what they had to give up was gotten just because of their relationship w Jesse. Neither of them would have had it in t first place if not for him.
      I groaned and guffawed when Walt went on about finally "doing something special". Walt did research that almost won a Nobel prize, not to mention having a family. However Idt either of those two had anything going on in their entire lives more special than their relationship w Jesse.

If I suddenly stop going to work, a company large enough to be in the NASDAQ would go belly up." • @TardRepellent
      @TardRepellent Před 4 lety +128

      I disagree. I felt like Jessie completely disconnected after what happened in Breaking Bad. his parents basically disowned him because he was selling drugs. they gave him no chance at all, even forced him to be homeless twice. once to "Teach him a lesson" and twice when they found his little brother's weed and blamed it on Jessie. they treat him like complete trash in every scene, not even offering so much as a hug to their son. they never gave him a chance and he rolled with the punches, and used that fake apology to get them out of the house so he could break in and steal the $1,800 he needed to completely start his life over. it was a trick. it shows that police were watching the house and Jessie knew that. the parents wanted him in prison and were cooperating. they don't want to hear his story, they just want him in jail, yet again never giving him a chance to explain. at the end he wrote a letter to Brock, and just him. they confirm this with asking if he has anyone else he wants to talk to.

      @1060michaelg Před 4 lety +21

      @TheGreenScreen It speaks well of Jesse (His words to his parents) but I don't think they deserved them, or Jesse. When Jesse was at his lowest they didn't care if he had a place to lay his head. It was SO sweet when Jesse shows up having bought HIS house (which his Aunt left him because it was JESSE, not her SISTER (Jesse's dishrag mom) out from under the feet of these two law and order A-Holes. Jesse, you're a better man than I am. Either that or a sucker!
      There's evidence for that as well...I mean, giving his gun to that faux DEA agent...I know; I'm nitpicking. Jesse, in the final analysis, is too good for this world. As Skinny Pete would say--- "Church..."

    The final scene in El Camino with Jessie driving through Alaska is beautiful. His expression clearly shows peace. At the end of Breaking Bad, Jessie was free, but not at peace. The final scene in BB with Jessie driving the car, yet with a manic expression, suggests his freedom but his excitement and uncertainty. El Camino gave Jessie peace. I'd argue that it's possible it was the end of 'Jessie', and the beginning of not only a new life for his character, but a new personality. A matured personality; a free one. A one at peace.
