- Right to Information Act 2005 mandates timely response to citizen requests for government information. The basic object of the Right to Information Act is to empower the citizens, promote transparency and accountability in the working of the Government. RTI Act is applicable to public authorities which goes without saying but it indirectly also covers the private institutions.
In this video, we have discussed the important aspects of the 2005 Act and its 2019 amendment. Most importantly, the filing procedure of RTI.
